About VietnamSpot
A guide for foreigners living in Vietnam
Who we are
VietnamSpot is a project for foreigners who live in Vietnam, are moving here, or are just weighing it up. We gathered in one place the things you normally have to dig out of a dozen chat groups, Google Docs marked “up to date as of 2019”, and tips from a taxi driver at Cam Ranh airport.
We run a blog with detailed articles on every region, a practical guide to the key topics — from visas to renting a motorbike — and a catalog of trusted services we recommend not for money, but because we use them ourselves. And our team is a message away when you need a hand on the ground.
Who writes
Writers and editors who live in Vietnam. Prices, addresses and routes are checked before publishing — against fresh sources, not old posts.
How we work
- We write the way we’d brief a friend before a trip. We don’t hide the downsides.
- We update articles regularly. Each one carries a last-checked date, so you can see how fresh the information is.
- Addresses, real prices, concrete advice. No filler.
What we offer
Blog — 362+ articles across every region of Vietnam: weather, prices, visas, practical tips. Guide — a reference for the topics that are easier to get lost in than to figure out. And a manager on Telegram who’ll help you with visas, transfers, SIM cards and tours — in English.
