Where to stay in Mui Ne: hotels & resorts 2026

Mui Ne hotels run from budget guesthouses at around $10 a night to five-star beach resorts near $100, strung along a ten-kilometre coast. A price table in VND with USD conversions, a breakdown by neighbourhood and travel style, and the honest warnings booking sites won't give you.

The Mui Ne coast is not uniform. Some stretches are soft sand and calm water; others are concrete sea walls and two-metre waves. The neighbourhood you pick decides the price, and whether you get a beach holiday or a week beside the pool.

Rates use ~25,000 VND = $1 at the time of writing. Pay by card where you can; keep some cash for guesthouses. You will need your passport at check-in, so keep it handy.

Mui Ne neighbourhoods — where to base yourself

Nguyen Dinh Chieu street in Mui Ne with shops, cafes and a kitesurf school along the resort strip
The main resort-strip road, Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, links the hotels, shops and kite schools

The Mui Ne resort zone is a 10 km ribbon of beach hotels along Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, the road that runs from Phan Thiet out to the fishing village on the cape. The area you choose shapes everything: the beach, the bill, your neighbours and the walk to a cafe.

Ham Tien — the main resort zone

Hàm Tiến is the busiest stretch and the most popular with package tourists and long-stayers. The highest density of restaurants, shops and hotels, from guesthouses at ~$10 to the five-star Anantara.

Pros: everything within walking distance, English spoken at the larger resorts, supermarkets and pharmacies five minutes away.

Cons: noisy in high season, and the beach is narrow in places from erosion. On some stretches you get sandbags or concrete walls instead of sand.

Hotels: Anantara, Bamboo Village, Pandanus, Terracotta, Novella, Seahorse, Hoang Ngoc, Palmira. Prices: from ~$30/night (beachfront), from ~$10 (second row).

Central Mui Ne beach (Rang) — for surfers

Bãi Rạng is the kitesurfing epicentre of Southeast Asia. The wind is steadier here than on other stretches, the waves are higher, and the shore is lined with kite schools and sunset bars.

Pros: the best kite spots in Vietnam (227 days a year with wind above 12 knots) and an international crowd. Cons: strong waves make it unsafe for kids to swim. Prices: from ~$15/night.

Phu Hai — the luxury end

Phú Hài sits closer to Phan Thiet and holds the priciest spa resorts. Quieter, with wider beaches and noticeably better service.

Pros: calm, wide, clean beaches. Cons: far from any cafe outside the resort, and in-house dinners run high. Prices: from ~$90/night.

Hon Rom — quiet and secluded

Hòn Rơm is the northern stretch of coast. Less infrastructure, but a lovely beach, few people and a sense of the real Vietnam.

Pros: clean, crowd-free beach, good for a long stay, cheaper rents. Cons: you need a scooter to reach the shops. Prices: from ~$15/night.

The best 5-star resorts in Mui Ne

Infinity pool of a five-star Mui Ne resort with tropical planting
Mui Ne's five-star resorts — pools, tropical gardens and direct beach access

There are exactly three five-star resorts in Mui Ne, and each targets a different guest. Prices start from ~$100 a night — noticeably cheaper than comparable five-stars in Nha Trang or Phu Quoc.

Anantara Mui Ne Resort

Number one on TripAdvisor among Hàm Tiến hotels. A Balinese-style tropical garden, bungalows with tiled roofs and a world-class spa. The room count is small — around 90 rooms and villas — which keeps it intimate.

  • Price: from 3,600,000 VND (~$145) a night
  • Rating: 4.0/5 (TripAdvisor, #1 in Ham Tien)
  • Pros: manicured grounds, a spa with Vietnamese treatments, breakfast included, up to 35% off for stays of 7+ nights
  • Cons: dinner for two can run 1,500,000–2,000,000 VND (~$60–80), three to four times the price of restaurants outside the gate
"A scenic beachfront setting, spacious and stylish rooms, gorgeous pools and spa" — TripAdvisor, 2026

The Anam Mui Ne

127 rooms in colonial Indochine style. The only hotel in Vietnam in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection. Two infinity pools: one freshwater, one seawater.

  • Price: from 3,750,000 VND (~$150) a night
  • Rating: 4.5/5 (TripAdvisor)
  • Pros: colonial architecture, two pools, spa, yoga classes, spotless throughout
  • Cons: laundry is pricey (600,000–700,000 VND for two or three items), and it's far from the Ham Tien infrastructure

Ideal for romantic trips, honeymoons and anyone who values design and architecture.

Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne

A family resort with a water park on Hòn Rơm. Water park, several pools, a kids' club with staff, playgrounds and a dedicated children's menu.

  • Price: from 2,500,000 VND (~$100) a night
  • Rating: 4.0/5 (TripAdvisor)
  • Pros: water slides, kids' club, large grounds, a lazy river
  • Cons: far from restaurants outside the resort, and service lags at peak times
📌
Travelling with kids? Centara is the number-one pick in Mui Ne. For couples without children, Anantara or The Anam.

4-star hotels — the sweet spot

Pandanus Resort — a proven Mui Ne four-star, bungalows in a tropical garden from ~$40 a night

The four-stars are Mui Ne's best value. Beachfront, a pool and breakfast from ~$30 a night.

Bamboo Village Beach Resort & Spa

A Mui Ne legend, open since 1998. Bamboo bungalows, a tropical garden with ponds and white sand on a private stretch of beach.

  • Price: from 1,250,000 VND (~$50) a night
  • Rating: 4.5/5 — one of the highest among the four-stars
  • Pros: atmospheric grounds, tasty breakfasts, a private beach
  • Cons: rooms in the older blocks need a refresh — ask which block when you book
"Beautiful grounds, attentive staff, varied and tasty breakfasts. The bungalows in the tropical garden are like something out of a film" — TripAdvisor guest reviews

Pandanus Resort

A big green plot set slightly back from the noisiest stretches of Nguyễn Đình Chiểu. Coconut palms, bougainvillea, tidy lawns. The pool is large, with direct beach access.

  • Price: from 1,000,000 VND (~$40) a night
  • Rating: 4.0/5
  • Pros: greenery, quiet, a big pool, direct beach access
  • Cons: furniture in some rooms is dated, and Wi-Fi is patchy in the far blocks

Radisson Resort Mui Ne

A relatively new hotel on Suối Nước beach. Modern design, panoramic views and fresh rooms without decades of wear.

  • Price: from 1,250,000 VND (~$50) a night
  • Pros: new and clean, modern design, lovely sunsets
  • Cons: a long way from the Ham Tien infrastructure — 10 to 15 minutes by scooter to a restaurant outside the resort

Sailing Club Resort Mui Ne

A boutique resort on Bãi Rạng beach. On site is the Sailing Club Kite School, one of the oldest kitesurfing schools in Southeast Asia.

  • Price: from 1,500,000 VND (~$60) a night
  • Pros: right on a kite spot, an in-house kite school, stylish grounds
  • Cons: compact rooms, and noise from the wind and the kiters

Hoang Ngoc Beach Resort

An honest Vietnamese four-star with direct beach access — the lowest price among the four-stars.

  • Price: from 750,000 VND (~$30) a night
  • Pros: affordable, beachfront, breakfast included
  • Cons: basic service, plain room design

If the numbers matter to you, Hoang Ngoc is a sensible compromise.

Budget hotels and guesthouses

Budget bungalows on the coast — a night from ~$10 with air conditioning and Wi-Fi

A night in Mui Ne for ~$10 is not a flophouse — it's a room with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.

3-star hotels

La Mer Bali Mui Ne — a new Mediterranean-style hotel on the beachfront. Fresh, stylish and recently renovated. From 500,000 VND (~$20) a night.

Sunny Beach Resort — a tried-and-tested option in Hàm Tiến. Pool, restaurant, beach access. From 500,000 VND (~$20).

Palmira Beach Resort — one of the cheapest beachfront options. Compact grounds, but there is a pool and a restaurant. From 560,000 VND (~$22).

Dynasty Mui Ne Beach — a compact hotel near the beach in central Ham Tien. Cafes and shops two minutes' walk away. From 700,000 VND (~$28).

Guesthouses and mini-hotels

The cheapest option is 250,000 VND (~$10) for a double. For 500,000 VND (~$20) you get a room with a private bathroom, air conditioning and hot water.

What to expect for $10–15 a night:

  • A 15–20 m² room with a double bed and air conditioning
  • Wi-Fi (not always stable — download films in advance)
  • A private or shared bathroom with hot water
  • Cleaning every 2–3 days, not daily
⚠️
The beach from a guesthouse is almost always across the road (second row). For direct sand access, expect to pay at least 1,250,000 VND (~$50).

If you're staying a month or more, don't book a guesthouse in advance. Arrive, check into a hotel for three to five days, look around and find a place on the ground. That way you save 20 to 40 percent.

All-inclusive hotels — what's actually on offer

Table set by a resort pool with tableware and fresh fruit
Lunch by the pool — how most Mui Ne resorts feed their guests

All-inclusive is the exception in Vietnam, not the rule. If you're used to Turkish resorts where the bar and food are included, that format barely exists in Mui Ne.

  • Centara Mirage offers full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner), but alcohol and activities are billed separately
  • Movenpick Resort Phan Thiet (technically in Phan Thiet, from 2,200,000 VND / ~$88 a night) is the nearest full-board option, covering meals and some drinks
  • Tour packages marked "all-inclusive" usually mean hotel plus breakfast plus transfer
📌
The sensible play: take a hotel with a good breakfast and eat lunch and dinner out. An average dinner for two is 300,000–500,000 VND (~$12–20).

Hotels for surfers and kitesurfers

Kitesurfing on Mui Ne beach — 227 days of wind a year

Mui Ne is Vietnam's kitesurfing capital: 227 days a year the wind tops 12 knots. The wind season runs November to March, when steady 18–25 knots means riding almost every day.

Sailing Club Resort Mui Ne is the only hotel with its own kite school. Beach bungalows, gear rental and IKO-certified instructors. From 1,500,000 VND (~$60) a night.

Mini-hotels on the central Rang beach start from 375,000 VND (~$15) a night. The spots are a short walk across the road. Mui Ne Kitesurf School (MKS) and C2Sky offer "stay plus lessons" packages from about $300 a week.

Hotels for families with kids

Family holidays in Mui Ne — hotels with pools and kids' clubs

Three proven options for families — all with kids' clubs, pools and decent food. But Mui Ne's beaches aren't the best place to swim with small children because of the waves, so pick a hotel with a large pool.

  1. Centara Mirage Resort — a water park with slides, a kids' club with staff, several pools, a lazy river and a children's menu. From 2,500,000 VND (~$100) a night
  2. The Anam Mui Ne — a kids' club, two pools, spacious villas, colonial style and spotless upkeep. From 3,750,000 VND (~$150) a night
  3. Movenpick Resort Phan Thiet — in Phan Thiet, 15 minutes from Mui Ne. Children's menu, a club and a full-board option. From 2,200,000 VND (~$88) a night
⚠️
Be careful with the sea. Most beaches have strong waves and currents. For swimming with children under seven or eight, rely on the hotel pool, not the sea.

How to choose a hotel in Mui Ne — a checklist

You can't pick a Mui Ne hotel on Booking photos alone. The beach erodes, the wind blows 200+ days a year, and "beachfront" sometimes means a concrete wall instead of shore.

  1. Area. Ham Tien for infrastructure. Hon Rom for quiet. Rang for kitesurfing. Phu Hai for luxury. Decide your priority before you book
  2. Row. Beachfront gives direct sand access, from ~$30. Second row is across the road, from ~$10
  3. Beach condition. Erosion is Mui Ne's main problem. Look for recent photos in reviews (no older than three months)
  4. Waves. If swimming matters, check the specific stretch. Take a hotel with a big pool as insurance
  5. Reviews. Read only the last six months — anything from a year ago may not match reality
  6. Season. High season (November to April) is 30 to 50 percent pricier; book two to three months ahead
  7. Transport. Outside Ham Tien and without a scooter, you'll be stuck on the grounds. Rental is from 150,000 VND (~$6) a day
  8. Construction nearby. Mui Ne is being built up fast — ask before booking
"Wind is what defines Mui Ne — it's heaven for kitesurfers and a challenge for anyone hoping to sunbathe undisturbed." — Lonely Planet, 2025

Three honest downsides of Mui Ne

Beach erosion. Some beaches are shored up with concrete walls — instead of white sand you get an industrial view. Not everywhere, but check photos from the last month.

Litter on the beach. Some stretches have plastic and seaweed. Hotels with fenced grounds clean their patch daily; public beaches don't.

Wind. From November to March it blows steady and strong. Paradise for kiters, a trial for anyone who wants to lie on a lounger. Umbrellas blow away, sand in your eyes.

Booking tips and long-term stays

In high season (November to April) book two to three months ahead. Off-season, on the ground, you can often haggle 20 to 40 percent below the online rate.

Where to find deals

  • Booking.com and Agoda are the standard aggregators. Agoda is sometimes cheaper — compare. Both have "secret" logged-in rates. Note that many hotels ask for a card to hold the reservation
  • Direct with the hotel is often 10 to 15 percent cheaper, especially for longer stays
  • Anantara gives up to 35% off for stays of 7+ nights via anantara.com
  • Tour operators — a package sometimes beats booking each piece yourself

Long-term stays (wintering)

Planning to stay a month or more? A hotel stops making sense. Move into a rental:

  • Guesthouse: from 3,750,000 VND (~$150) a month plus electricity around 500,000 VND (~$20)
  • Studio apartment: from 5,000,000 VND (~$200) a month
  • Villa or house with a garden: from 10,000,000 VND (~$400) a month

The strategy: arrive, check into a hotel for one to two weeks, look around, scout the areas by scooter — and only then rent.

📌
Everything on visas for a longer stay → visa rules depend on your passport nationality — most travellers use the e-visa via evisa.gov.vn.

FAQ — common questions about Mui Ne hotels

Are there all-inclusive hotels in Mui Ne?

It depends on the season. From November to March there's strong wind and waves on most beaches. Mornings are usually calmer. For comfortable swimming, take a hotel with a pool.

Should you stay in Phan Thiet instead of Mui Ne?

Phan Thiet is a city with hospitals, markets and banks. For a beach holiday, choose Mui Ne. The distance is 20 km, 20 to 30 minutes by scooter. More in the guide to Phan Thiet.

When is the best time to visit Mui Ne?

High season is November to April: dry, 30 to 33 degrees C. For kitesurfing, November to March. May to October brings one to two hours of rain a day, but prices drop 30 to 50 percent.

What day trips are there from Mui Ne?

The White and Red Dunes are 20 to 30 minutes by scooter, Suối Tiên (the Fairy Stream) is free, plus the fishing village and Tà Cú mountain with its 49 m reclining Buddha. For a longer trip, Da Lat (4 hours, mountains, ~18 degrees C). More on Mui Ne overall and the sand dunes.
