Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc 2026: prices, zones, tips
380 hectares of tropical forest, roughly 4,000 animals and not a single cage — Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc runs on the idea of cages for people and freedom for the beasts. Here are current 2026 prices in VND with dollar estimates, the full show schedule, a zone-by-zone tour and honest advice on planning a visit without queues or heatstroke.

Below: what makes this a half-wild zoo rather than a caged one, exact 2026 ticket prices with dollar estimates, a walk through all six zones, the full show schedule, how to reach it by free bus, scooter or Grab, a half-day route, whether it works with kids, and how it stacks up against neighbouring VinWonders.
What is Vinpearl Safari, and why go
Vinpearl Safari Phú Quốcis Vietnam's largest safari park and the country's first semi-wild zoo. It opened in 2015 on the northern tip of the island, inside the Phu Quoc United Center resort complex. In a decade it has grown to more than 200 species and earned SEAZA accreditation — the Southeast Asian Zoos Association — the first Vietnamese zoo to hold that status.
The park is a member of WAZA (the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums), and Blooloop has ranked it among the top two zoos in Asia. It breeds white rhinos, Bengal tigers and yellow-cheeked gibbons — more than 40 species on the IUCN Red List.
The concept is not a classic zoo with enclosures but a half-wild habitat. You ride a bus with panoramic windows through open terrain where the animals roam freely. The feel is a mini-Africa dropped into the tropics.
The park sits inside Phu Quoc United Center, Vinpearl's single resort complex on the north of the island. Within walking distance are VinWonders (a theme park), Grand World (a shopping-and-entertainment complex) and several Vinpearl hotels. Stay in one of them and the shuttles to the safari are free.

Message the managerPark zones and animals

The park splits into six themed zones, each its own little world of fauna. Walking them all plus the bus safari takes 3–5 hours.
| Zone | Format | Key species | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Safari Park | Bus with panoramic windows | Bengal tigers, white rhinos, zebras, giraffes, antelope | ~30 min |
| Open Zoo | Walking trails | White lions, lemurs, scimitar oryx, bongo antelope | 40–60 min |
| Primate Area | Walking zone | Chimpanzees, mandrills, yellow-cheeked gibbons (20 species) | 20–30 min |
| Bird Area | Open aviaries | Macaws, crowned cranes, scarlet ibises (2,000+ birds) | 20–30 min |
| Reptile Area | Indoor terrariums | Giant Aldabra tortoises, chameleons, geckos | 15–20 min |
| Kid Zoo | Petting zoo | Lemurs, goats, rabbits — you can feed and touch them | 20–30 min |
Safari Park is the headline act. You board a bus and it drives you through open terrain where the animals wander loose. A rhino stands three metres from the window; zebras cross the road. The driver stops so you can shoot as much as you like. The ride lasts about 30 minutes, with buses every 15–20.

Open Zoo covers the bulk of the grounds. It is all on foot, with paved paths under shade cloth. White lions are the stars here — you meet them in the first third of the route.
Primate Area houses 20 rare primate species. Yellow-cheeked gibbons swing overhead, blue-faced mandrills pose behind glass, and chimpanzees build nests in full view. The gibbons are part of a breeding program — this is one of the few parks in the world where the species reproduces successfully.
Bird Area is open aviaries with 2,000+ birds in flight: scarlet ibises, crowned cranes, macaws. It is especially good in the morning when the birds feed. Photographers lose track of time here.
Kid Zoo is a paradise for small children. Lemurs take food straight from your hand, goats nudge your legs. Calm, safe and clean.
Skip the airport queue in 5–10 min
In winter, immigration lines run 60–90 min. With Fast Track you’re met at the aircraft and taken through the priority lane. Arrange it before you fly.
Telegram managerShows and activities

The park runs daily shows and interactive programs. Here is the full schedule — save it to your phone so you don't miss anything.
| Show | Time | Days | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zulu dance | 09:20 / 11:20 / 15:30 | Daily | At the entrance |
| Multi Animal Show | 10:00 / 14:00 | Except Tue & Wed | Flamingo Restaurant |
| Giraffe feeding | 09:00–16:00 | Daily | Giraffe Restaurant |
| Junior Zookeeper | 10:30 / 14:30 | Daily | Kid Zoo |
| Night safari | 19:40–21:30 | Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun | Safari Park |
Zulu dance is a high-energy show by African performers right at the entrance. Three sessions a day, the first as early as 09:20 — a good warm-up before the walk.
Multi Animal Show has parrots counting, monkeys doing tricks and birds of prey swooping overhead. It runs 30 minutes. Come 10 minutes early — the front rows fill fast.
Night safari
A separate ticket, 950,000 VND (~$38). You ride the safari grounds on an open tram with no windows. Predators are livelier after dark — tigers hunt, hyenas prowl along the route. A guide with a torch narrates in English and Vietnamese.
It runs four days a week: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Start at 19:40, wrapping up by 21:30.
Upsides: an unusual experience, cooler than daytime, fewer people. Downsides: hard to photograph (it's dark), not for small children (it can be scary), and you have to sort out your own ride back.
Restaurants and lunch with the giraffes

Three food stops inside the park mean you won't go hungry, but prices run higher than in town. That is standard for a closed venue.
| Restaurant | Hours | What it serves |
|---|---|---|
| Giraffe Restaurant | 10:30–15:30 | Chicken rice, seafood, burgers. Giraffes at the window |
| Flamingo & Rhino | 10:30–15:45 | Buffet; the Animal Show runs here too |
| Safari Store | 09:00–16:00 | Snacks, drinks, souvenirs |
The Giraffe Restaurant's trick is that you eat while the giraffes stretch their necks toward your terrace. Feeding them carrots costs 30,000 VND (~$1.20) a portion. Photos and selfies with the giraffes are free.
Lunch runs about 150,000–250,000 VND (~$6–10) per person. Water inside the park costs two to three times shop prices — bring a bottle; they don't confiscate it at the gate.
How to get to the safari

The park is on the north of Phu Quoc, in the Gành Dầu area next to Bai Dai beach. From the centre of Duong Dong it is 25–30 km.
| Way | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Grab / taxi | 30–40 min from Duong Dong | 200,000–350,000 VND (~$8–14) |
| VinBus (free) | From Grand World | 0 VND (with a ticket) |
| Scooter | 30–40 min from Duong Dong | 150,000–200,000 VND (~$6–8) rental/day |
| From the airport | 45–60 min | 300,000–450,000 VND (~$12–18) |
VinBusis the best option if you're staying in or near Grand World. Up to 13 runs a day: first at 08:35, last at 16:35.
By scooter is the cheapest way. The road is good asphalt and parking at the entrance is free.
By Grab you book through the app and pay by card. Getting back is via Grab too, but cars near the safari can be scarce — order 15–20 minutes before you leave.
Visiting tips
The best time is morning. Arrive at 09:00, right on opening. Animals are more active, there's no queue for the bus, and the sun isn't yet baking.
Half-day route (4–5 hours)
| Time | What to do |
|---|---|
| 09:00 | Entry, Zulu dance at the gate |
| 09:30 | Kid Zoo — feeding the lemurs |
| 10:00 | Multi Animal Show (Flamingo Restaurant) |
| 10:30 | Open Zoo — white lions, primates, birds |
| 11:30 | Bus safari, Safari Park (~30 min) |
| 12:00 | Lunch at the Giraffe Restaurant + feeding the giraffes |
| 13:00 | Reptile Area, souvenir shop |
| 13:30 | Exit, or carry on into VinWonders |
What to bring
- Water (1–2 bottles per person) — inside it's 2–3x pricier
- Hat and sunscreen — shade is patchy
- Comfortable shoes — there's a lot of walking
- Cash for feeding the giraffes (30,000 VND)
- A power bank — you'll take a lot of photos
What to avoid
- Don't arrive after 14:00 — the Safari Park zone stops admitting visitors and you'll miss the main event
- Midday (12:00–14:00) — peak heat, and animals hide in the shade
- Tuesday and Wednesday — no Multi Animal Show
- Your first day off the plane — jet lag plus heat can spoil the experience
Safari with kids

Vinpearl Safari is one of the best places on Phu Quoc for children of any age. The park is built for families: flat paths, sun shades, drinking fountains.
Kid Zoo is the zone where children feed and pet the animals. Goats, rabbits, lemurs — all tame and safe. Staff keep an eye out so no one gets hurt (kids or animals).
Junior Zookeeperis a program that turns a child into a keeper's helper for an hour and a half. They feed animals, clean enclosures and learn how caring for wild species works. Two sessions: morning (10:30–12:00) and afternoon (14:30–16:00). Sign up on the spot.
Electric buggy — a golf-cart hire for 6–8 people with a driver. Handy if a child is tired or in a stroller. Reviews call it one of the best ways to see the park with small kids.
Kids under 100 cm are free. Note: they measure height at the gate, not age.
Travelling as a family? See our roundup of the best beaches on Phu Quoc — near the northern beaches there are calm coves for swimming with little ones.
Safari or VinWonders — which to pick?
Both parks belong to Vinpearl and sit side by side — a free VinBus shuttles between them. But they are two completely different experiences.
| Vinpearl Safari | VinWonders | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Animals, nature, easy pace | Rides, water park, adrenaline |
| Best for | Families with kids, nature lovers | Teens, couples, thrill-seekers |
| Time | 3–5 hours | 4–6 hours |
| Price | 650,000 VND (~$26) | 880,000 VND (~$35) |
| Combo | 1,350,000 VND (~$54) for both parks | |
With a full day, take the combo and start with the safari in the morning (animals are livelier), then cross to VinWonders after lunch for rides and the water park. There is more on both in our Phu Quoc attractions guide.
One day is enough for both parks, but it's intense. With small children, split it across two days.
Another option is to pair the safari with a tour of northern Phu Quoc — Ham Ninh fishing village, Bai Dai beach and Ganh Dau lighthouse are nearby. All the Phu Quoc tours are covered in a separate guide.
