Things to do in Cam Ranh 2026: at the resort and after dark
Straight up: Cam Ranh is a resort strip, not a going-out town. By day your hotel holds you (pools, kids club, spa, water sports); after dark, your hotel again. For clubs, bars and a theme park you go to Nha Trang. Below is what is actually here, how to fill an evening, and when it is worth leaving the fence.

The typical Cam Ranh visitor leaves the hotel once or twice a week, and that is not laziness — it is how the place works. A resort holds you for two or three days: pools, a kids club, free kayaks and SUP, a spa, evening shows. What you won't find, unlike Nha Trang or Phuket, is much within walking distance of the gate — just empty roads, fishing villages and a couple of local cafés. So this guide runs in that order: first what is genuinely here, then where to head when you want more.
A Greg Norman golf course five minutes away, water sports right on the sand, snorkelling around the bay's islands, a spa in every hotel. The VinWonders theme park, the Mui Dinh dunes and the Cham towers are day trips out of the resort — covered in full in our guide to tours from Cam Ranh. Below, every option with 2026 prices in VND and US dollars, travel times and honest downsides.
Prices are current as of July 2026 and can change — confirm on the spot or on the venue's own site.

Picking one activity for a family with kids — VinWonders. For a couple — a single-day jeep tour to the dunes and towers. For golfers the choice is obvious. Below, each option in detail.
VinWonders Nha Trang — the region's main theme park
VinWonders Nha Trang (the former Vinpearl Land) is Vietnam's biggest theme park after VinWonders Phu Quoc. It sits on Hon Tre island, across the water from Nha Trang. From Cam Ranh hotels the total trip is about an hour — the single most popular day out for families with children.
One point of confusion first: searching "Vinpearl Cam Ranh" usually turns up the VinWonders park on the island, not the Melia Vinpearl Cam Ranh hotel on Long Beach. They are two different Vingroup properties — a hotel on the mainland and a park on the island.
What is inside the park
The park splits into five zones, each with its own logic:
- Tropical Paradise (water park) — 18 slides of varying difficulty, a lazy river, a wave pool with 1.5 m waves and a kids' area. Half your visit disappears here.
- World Garden — three themed gardens (Japanese, French, Italian). More for photos than for active fun.
- Sea World — a large aquarium with a tunnel and a dolphinarium. Dolphin shows twice a day, at 10:30 and 15:00.
- Adventure Land — thrill rides: the Alpine Coaster down the hillside, the Sky Wheel, a free-fall tower. For adults and teens.
- Fairy Land — a kids' zone with carousels and shows for little ones aged 2–7.
A full look round takes the whole day. Six to seven hours is realistic if you keep moving and don't spend 40 minutes on one slide. Inside there are several restaurants and food courts at prices 30–50% above town rates — outside food is not allowed and bags are checked at the entrance.
Getting there from Cam Ranh
From the Long Beach resorts there are two ways.
By cable car. The main route. First a taxi or Grab to the cable-car station in Nha Trang (50 minutes, 400,000–500,000 VND / ~$16–20). The cable car crosses the bay in 12 minutes and the views are half the experience. Its cost is already in the park ticket.
By speedboat. The backup in high wind or a cable-car breakdown. From the Nha Trang pier it is 7 minutes to the island. Also included in the ticket.
💬 "The cable car was cancelled for wind and they rerouted us to the boat with no fuss — we were just moved over. On the way back the wind dropped and we rode the wires. The cable car has nicer views, but the boat is faster." — guest review on Tripadvisor, 2025
Many Long Beach hotels run a shuttle to the cable car for a fee (400,000–600,000 VND round trip per person). Ask at reception on check-in — sometimes it is cheaper than a taxi.
VinWonders prices in 2026
| Category | VND | ~USD |
|---|---|---|
| Adult (over 140 cm) | 950,000 | ~$38 |
| Child (100–140 cm) | 720,000 | ~$29 |
| Children under 100 cm | Free | — |
| Seniors 60+ | 720,000 | ~$29 |
| After-2pm ticket | 750,000 | ~$30 |
The ticket covers the round-trip cable car or boat, all rides, the dolphin show and every zone. It does not cover food and drink or the towel and locker rental in the water park (50,000 VND / ~$2), or a photo with the dolphins.
Book online at vinwonders.com — 10–15% off the gate price. And arrive at opening (08:30): by midday the Alpine Coaster queue stretches to 40 minutes and the water-park slides run 20.
A full day for a family of four (two adults, two kids aged 5–10) with lunch comes to around 4,000,000 VND (~$160). Not cheap, but kids love every minute.
Entertainment inside the Long Beach resorts

The Long Beach resort strip has around fifteen five-star hotels, and each throws in its own set of free activities for guests. If you plan to spend five to seven days without leaving, the line-up of activities matters more than the star rating.
Melia Vinpearl Cam Ranh — the flagship for entertainment
The largest resort on Long Beach: 58 hectares, 760 rooms, four pools, a private beach, a kids club and a water-park zone right on site. For sheer volume of free activities, it leads.
What comes free for guests:
- The "Mini Beach Club" kids club (ages 4–12, 09:00–21:00). Crafts, workshops, beach games, mini-cooking. Animators speak English in high season.
- Water-park zone — a few slides and a splash area with fountains for younger children.
- Mini Disco — a kids' disco every evening at 20:30 by the main pool.
- Evening shows — traditional Vietnamese dance, sometimes magicians or acrobats.
- Kayaks and SUP — free on the beach, handed out by the hour against your room card.
- Mini-classes — beachside yoga in the morning, aqua aerobics by day.
Paid activities on site: parasailing (~800,000 VND / ~$32 for a 10-minute flight), jet ski (1,000,000–1,500,000 VND / ~$40–60 for half an hour), a spa massage (from 1,200,000 VND / ~$48 an hour) and tennis with a coach.
💬 "Our kids, 5 and 8, spent four days straight in the kids club and asked to go back every time. Programme changes daily. It saved our holiday." — guest review on Tripadvisor, March 2026
Other resorts: what they offer
Not every Long Beach hotel is equally strong on entertainment. A comparison of five big ones:
| Resort | Kids club | Evening show | Water-park zone | Free water sports |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Melia Vinpearl | Yes, 4–12 | Every evening | Yes | Kayaks, SUP, windsurf |
| Movenpick | Yes, 4–12 | 3–4 times a week | No | Kayaks |
| Radisson Blu | Yes, 3–12 | Twice a week | No | Kayaks, SUP |
| Cam Ranh Riviera | Yes, 4–12 | Every evening | No | Kayaks, SUP |
| The Anam | Yes, 4–11 | 3 times a week | No | Kayaks, SUP, surfboards |
Day pass — getting into someone else's resort
Staying in a cheaper town hotel or an apartment but want a day by a five-star pool? A day pass solves it.
Most Long Beach resorts sell a day pass with access to the pool, beach and loungers, often with an F&B credit at the restaurant. Average 2026 rates:
- Movenpick Cam Ranh — from 500,000 VND (~$20) without F&B, from 900,000 VND (~$36) with lunch
- The Anam Cam Ranh — from 800,000 VND (~$32), lunch and a drink included
- Radisson Blu Cam Ranh — from 600,000 VND (~$24) with a 200,000 VND F&B credit
Book a day ahead: in high season (January–April) spots are limited. Contact the hotel reception directly or use its website. One catch: the kids club usually does not work on a day pass — it is for staying guests only. Coming for the day with kids just for the club? Confirm the terms by phone first.
Water sports and snorkelling

Cam Ranh Bay is one of the deepest, calmest natural harbours in the world. Mountains shelter it on three sides, and the water inside is clearer than on the open coast. The season for snorkelling and water sports is long — January through August.
Right on Long Beach
Services turn up with the local operator crews on pickup trucks. Base 2026 rates:
| Activity | Price (VND) | Price (~USD) | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Parasailing | 800,000 | ~$32 | 10–15 min |
| Jet ski | 1,000,000–1,500,000 | ~$40–60 | 30 min |
| Banana boat | 200,000 | ~$8 | 15 min |
| Glass-bottom boat | 100,000 | ~$4 | 30 min |
| Mask & snorkel rental | 50,000 | ~$2 | Per day |
| Kayak rental | 100,000 | ~$4 | 1 hour |
| SUP board | 150,000 | ~$6 | 1 hour |
| Windsurf lesson | 1,200,000 | ~$48 | 1.5 h |
Parasailing and jet ski usually run in the northern part of Long Beach, nearer Movenpick and Melia. In the south — just wild beach and quiet.
Snorkelling around the bay's islands
Serious snorkelling is out at the islands of Binh Hung (Bình Hưng) and Binh Lap (Bình Lập). Boats leave from the Cam Ranh pier, 40 minutes by car from Long Beach (300,000 VND / ~$12 by taxi).
A day snorkelling tour includes the transfer from your hotel (an extra ~150,000 VND / ~$6), a boat with two or three swim stops, gear, a fresh-seafood lunch on board and a return by 16:00–17:00. The 2026 price is 500,000 to 800,000 VND (~$20–32) per person depending on group size. Best season is March–August, with 12–15 m of visibility. Book directly with the pier operators or through your hotel; pay cash on the day, as small stalls do not take cards.
Diving
For serious diving people head to Nha Trang, home to the big dive centres (Rainbow Divers, Sailing Club Divers), 45 minutes from Cam Ranh. A try-dive for beginners is 1,500,000–2,000,000 VND (~$60–80) with gear, an instructor and two descents. Certified divers can take a two-day refresher from 3,500,000 VND (~$140).
Skip the airport queue in 5–10 min
In winter, immigration lines run 60–90 min. With Fast Track you’re met at the aircraft and taken through the priority lane. Arrange it before you fly.
Telegram managerKN Cam Ranh Golf Links — a Greg Norman course

KN Cam Ranh Golf Links is an 18-hole Par 72 course by Greg Norman (the "Great White Shark"). It sits in the Long Beach resort zone, 5 minutes from Movenpick and Melia Vinpearl. Dune terrain, natural sand traps and a sea breeze that bends the ball's line. After the courses of Thailand and Bali it feels like a different league — harder and more beautiful.
Green fees and rates 2026

| Sat, Sun, holidays | 4,082,000 | ~$163 | 18 holes + 200,000 VND F&B credit |

Booking: by phone on +84 258 3999 666 or at kngolflinks.com. In high season the tee slots go 2–3 weeks ahead — plan early.
If you don't play
The clubhouse has a restaurant overlooking the 18th hole and the ocean, open to everyone — you needn't be a player. Breakfast from 07:00, lunch and dinner until 21:00. Prices are European: a main is 350,000–600,000 VND (~$14–24), wine from 1,800,000 VND (~$72) a bottle. Not the cheapest spot in Cam Ranh, but the view and service earn it. The club also has a spa and a pool for members and players.
💬 "Played 30+ courses in Asia. KN Cam Ranh is genuinely one of the best. Fairways immaculate, caddies professional, a view on every hole. Prices about a third below Thailand." — review on golfreviewsguide.com, 2024

Message the managerDay trips beyond the resort

The history and nature are not in Cam Ranh itself but in neighbouring Ninh Thuan (Ninh Thuan) province, 50–80 km south. In one day you can take in three or four sights.
The Po Klong Garai Cham towers
The best-preserved Cham tower complex in southern Vietnam. Three towers on Trau hill (Đồi Trầu) near the town of Phan Rang, built in the 12th–13th centuries under King Po Klong Garai (reigned 1151–1205).
Brick laid without mortar, reliefs on the walls, the main tower 21 metres high. Inside is a linga-yoni (a symbol of Shiva); at the foot a Cham priest lives and holds rituals. This is not a "dead monument" but a living place of worship for the several thousand Cham who remain in Vietnam.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Address | Đồi Trầu, Đô Vinh, Phan Rang–Tháp Chàm |
| Time from Long Beach | 50–60 min (60 km) |
| Taxi cost | ~1,200,000 VND (~$48) one way |
| Entry | 30,000 VND (~$1.20) |
| Hours | 07:30–17:30 |
| Time to visit | 1–1.5 h |
Best time is early morning or sunset. By day there is no shade on the hill and it hits +35–38 °C in summer. In October, during the Kate festival — the main Cham holiday — there is dance, music and ritual at the towers. Worth timing for.
Jeep tours over the Mui Dinh dunes
Heard of the red and white dunes of Mui Ne but don't want the 250 km drive? Mui Dinh is closer — a cape in the south of Ninh Thuan province, 80 km from Cam Ranh. Sand dunes up to 100 metres high, an early-20th-century lighthouse and empty, tourist-free beaches. Smaller than Mui Ne, but half the distance and far fewer people — the sensible option for Cam Ranh guests who don't want to burn two days on the road.
Tours usually run 6–8 hours: a jeep transfer from your hotel, the Ba Moi vineyards near Phan Rang with a tasting, the Po Klong Garai Cham towers, the Mui Dinh dunes (a climb to the lighthouse, sandboarding down) and lunch at a local seaside café. The 2026 price is from 1,500,000 VND (~$60) per person in a group of 4–6. A private jeep is from 6,000,000 VND (~$240) for the day.
Ninh Thuan vineyards
Ninh Thuan is the driest region in Vietnam, and also the country's only wine-growing area. The Ba Moi and Vang Nho vineyards are open to visitors: a 30-minute walk through the fields, a tasting of white and red wine and grape jam. Entry 30,000 VND (~$1.20), tasting 100,000–150,000 VND (~$4–6). Often built into a combo tour with the towers and dunes. Honestly, Vietnamese wine is no Bordeaux — but for the context and the photos it is worth the stop.
A day trip to Nha Trang
Nha Trang, 50 km north, is the main neighbour. In a day you can take in the Po Nagar towers, the Long Son pagoda with its 14-metre white Buddha, the Thap Ba mud baths, the oceanography institute, the seafront and the Cho Dam market. Getting there: bus No. 18 from Cam Ranh airport for 60,000 VND (~$2.40), or taxi/Grab for 500,000–600,000 VND (~$20–24).
Cam Ranh with kids — kids clubs and family activities

After honeymoons, families are Cam Ranh's main crowd. The resort is set up so under-12s have the run of the place: a safe beach with a gentle entry, clean water, pools with slides and a kids club at almost every property.
What to pick by age
- Under 3. The beach and a shallow splash pool with fountains. Look for a resort with a children's pool 30–40 cm deep. Melia Vinpearl, Movenpick and Riviera fit. Kids clubs usually don't take under-3s, but a babysitter is available for a fee (300,000–500,000 VND / ~$12–20 an hour).
- 4–7. A kids club at any big resort, a mini disco in the evening, the water-park zone at Melia Vinpearl. For a day out: the Suoi Tien sheep farm (50,000 VND / ~$2), VinWonders Fairy Land.
- 8–12. The full VinWonders, boat snorkelling, beach kayaks, cycling round the grounds. From 10 — the banana boat.
- 13+. Parasailing, jet ski, diving (try-dive from 10, PADI cert from 12) and the VinWonders Adventure Land rides.
What doesn't work with kids
- The Mui Dinh jeep tour — 6–8 hours in the car plus heat and sand. Hard with kids under 10.
- The golf course — only the restaurant viewing area; children aren't allowed on the fairway.
- Diving — formally from 10, but children rarely last through the prep.
- Late nights out in Nha Trang — 45 minutes each way, a late return, a tired child.
💬 "Spent a week at Movenpick with two kids aged 6 and 9, went out only once, to VinWonders. That was enough. The kids didn't want to go anywhere — the club, the pool and the beach mattered more. So don't over-plan excursions." — guest review on Tripadvisor, 2025
Nightlife in Cam Ranh — is there any?

Short answer: almost none. The Long Beach resort zone is hotels with lobby bars that close at 22:30–23:00. No club scene, no beach discos, no street bars with live music. After sunset, life moves indoors: dinner, a bar, a spa, sleep.
What the resorts do have after dark:
- Lobby bars — cocktails 200,000–400,000 VND (~$8–16), wine by the glass, sometimes live music (a pianist or a jazz trio). Until 23:00.
- Evening shows — daily at Melia Vinpearl and Cam Ranh Riviera, 3–4 times a week elsewhere. Free, by the pool.
- Spa — some run until 22:00, so you can get a massage after dinner.
- Night swims — nearly all resorts allow swimming until 22:00–23:00, with the pool lit up.
Central Cam Ranh (15–20 minutes by taxi from Long Beach) has a few local cafés and karaoke bars. Provincial Vietnam atmosphere: Bia Sài Gòn at 25,000 VND (~$1), local food, no tourists. If you want that experience, go. But these are street hangouts, not clubs.
Where to go for real clubs
Nightlife in Nha Trang has it covered: Sailing Club, Skylight Bar (one of the best rooftops in Asia), Why Not Bar, Booze Cruise Bar. Open until 02:00–04:00.
The trip: 45 minutes by taxi, 500,000–700,000 VND (~$20–28) one way. Coming back late, Grab can be unreliable after midnight — better to ask a taxi driver for a call-and-wait, paying 200,000–300,000 VND (~$8–12) for the wait. Alternatively, stay over in Nha Trang: a hostel from 300,000 VND (~$12), a budget hotel from 700,000 VND (~$28), then the bus back in the morning for 60,000 VND (~$2.40).
What to know before you go

Heat. From 11:00 to 15:00 in the sun it is +35–40 °C in summer and +28–32 °C in winter. Plan all outdoor activities for 07:00–10:30 and 15:30–18:30. At midday: the pool, the spa, air-conditioned spaces.
SIM / eSIM. Without data you can't call a Grab, find Mui Dinh on the map or book a snorkelling trip. Grab a Viettel or Mobifone SIM right at Cam Ranh airport — 100,000 VND (~$4) for a 30-day 30 GB pack; you'll need your passport to register it. Or buy a Vietnam eSIM online before you fly and land connected.
Cash. VinWonders, the dive centres and the dune cafés don't take cards. Withdraw ahead at the airport ATM or at the big resorts. Keep cash in small notes — 50,000 and 100,000 VND.
Book ahead. In high season (December–April) reserve VinWonders, KN Golf and jeep tours 3–7 days out. A day pass at popular hotels — 1–2 days ahead.
Dress code. At the Cham towers and Buddhist pagodas, cover shoulders and knees. At resort restaurants in the evening, smart casual; at KN Golf, golf attire (no shorts and a vest on the course).
Visas. Most nationalities need an e-visa for Vietnam — a single 90-day e-visa applied for online at evisa.gov.vn a few days before you fly. Cam Ranh (CXR) is an approved e-visa entry point, so you can fly straight in. Check the current rules for your passport before booking.
FAQ — common questions about things to do in Cam Ranh
What is there to do in Cam Ranh besides the beach?
Honestly, evenings in Cam Ranh mean your resort — pools, a kids club, shows, a spa, free kayaks and SUP, water sports on the beach; enough for two or three days. Next door: golf at KN Cam Ranh Golf Links (from ~$106) and snorkelling around Binh Hung (from ~$20). For real nightlife, clubs and the VinWonders theme park you go to Nha Trang (45 minutes). Trips out — islands, dunes, Cham towers — are in a separate tours guide.
Is there a theme park in Cam Ranh?
Not in Cam Ranh itself. The nearest big park is VinWonders Nha Trang on Hon Tre island, 50 minutes from Long Beach plus a cable car over the bay. It is the former Vinpearl Land: a water park, rides, a dolphinarium and an aquarium. It belongs to neighbouring Nha Trang — details and prices are in the tours guide.
What is there to do in the evening in Cam Ranh?
An evening in Cam Ranh is resort territory: a lobby bar until 22:30–23:00, an evening show by the pool, dinner, a spa open to 22:00 and a lit pool for a late swim. There are no street bars or clubs in the resort zone. For a proper night out — clubs, rooftops, live music — you head to Nha Trang, 45 minutes each way by taxi (~$20–28).
How much is a VinWonders ticket in 2026?
Adult 950,000 VND (~$38), child (100–140 cm) 720,000 VND (~$29), children under 100 cm free. An after-2pm ticket is 750,000 VND (~$30). It covers the round-trip cable car, all rides and the dolphin show. Booking online at vinwonders.com is 10–15% cheaper.
What is included in the Melia Vinpearl Cam Ranh kids club?
Free for guests: a kids club for ages 4–12, 09:00–21:00, animators (English-speaking in season), workshops, beach games, a mini disco at 20:30, a water-park zone and evening shows. Paid: a babysitter for under-3s (300,000–500,000 VND / ~$12–20 an hour).
Is there any nightlife in Cam Ranh?
Not really. The resorts run lobby bars until 22:30–23:00, evening shows and lit pools. Central Cam Ranh has a couple of local cafés and karaoke bars with no tourists. For clubs and rooftop bars people head to Nha Trang (Sailing Club, Skylight Bar) — 45 minutes by taxi for ~$20–24. Grab is unreliable at night, so a call-and-wait taxi is safer.
Is there enough to do inside the resort for a week?
For three or four days, yes — especially at a big resort like Melia Vinpearl: pools, a kids club, a water-park zone, evening shows, a spa, free kayaks. After that it starts to repeat. A sensible week is three or four days at the pool and beach, one day for golf or snorkelling, and one trip to Nha Trang or an excursion out. Ten days in one hotel is doable, but most people want a change of scene by the end.
Can you play golf without experience?
You can, but KN Cam Ranh is a PGA-level course and hard for beginners. Start with lessons from the club pro (from 1,200,000 VND / ~$48 an hour) and driving-range practice (from 250,000 VND / ~$10 a bucket). After 3–5 lessons, take a morning tee time on 9 holes. Club-set rental is 600,000 VND (~$24), shoes 200,000 VND (~$8).
Is a Mui Dinh trip from Cam Ranh worth it?
If you want sand dunes but don't want the 250 km drive to Mui Ne, yes. Mui Dinh is 80 km from Long Beach: dunes up to 100 m, a lighthouse and empty beaches. It combines with the Ninh Thuan vineyards and the Po Klong Garai Cham towers in one day. The price is from ~$60 per person in a group. The catch: 6–8 hours on the road is hard with kids under 10. Best season is November–March.
Prices current as of July 2026. Ticket, tour and hotel-service prices can shift with the season and the exchange rate — check the venue's site or reception before you go.
