VinWonders Nha Trang — rides and zones

A night amusement park — a Ferris wheel and bright lights, just like VinWonders

VinWonders Nha Trang sits on Hòn Tre island — you can only reach it by the 3,320 m cable car or by boat. It is the oldest park in the chain: it opened in 2010 as Vinpearl Land and covers about 50 hectares.

The cable car is 3,320 metres over open sea, the longest in Vietnam. Cabins hold eight, and the ride takes 12–20 minutes. It is already in your park ticket, but you can buy it alone for 212,000 VND (~$8.50) return.

The Ferris wheel is 120 metres, among the ten tallest in the world. From the top you get a full panorama of Nha Trang bay.

The park's zones:

  • Fairy Land — the Tata Show, a zipline (the longest in Vietnam) and the Alpine Coaster (electric sled down the hillside)
  • Adventure Land — 8 thrill rides: Mine Adventure, Topspin, catapults
  • Water World — the only freshwater water park on Vietnam's coast: slides, a wave pool, a lazy river
  • Aquarium — 300+ marine species and a 360° glass tunnel: sharks, rays, sea turtles
  • Zoo and bird park — capybaras (scheduled feeding), parrots, flamingos
  • World Garden — a landscaped park with plants from five continents
  • Japanese garden — koi ponds and wooden bridges
💬 "The Ferris wheel, a lovely zoo with capybara feeding, the water park, a 4D cinema, shows, the aquarium, a nice beach and the cable car over the sea — all on one ticket." — Tripadvisor review, November 2025

VinWonders Phu Quoc — rides and zones

A school of silver fish among rocks and seaweed in a tank — a VinWonders aquarium
Fish in the tank — the VinWonders aquariums hold thousands of marine residents

VinWonders Phu Quoc is the biggest theme park in Vietnam: 200+ rides, 6 zones, ~50 hectares. It sits in Phu Quoc United Center on the northwest of the island (the Bãi Dài area). It opened in 2014 and is still being expanded.

The six zones:

  1. European Street — mock-European architecture, fountains, shops and restaurants. A good spot for photos.
  2. Fantasy World — kids' rides, carousels, mini-slides. The place to bring toddlers.
  3. Viking Village — a themed Viking village with interactive quests.
  4. The Seashell (aquarium) — a building shaped like a giant turtle with 255,000 marine creatures. One of the five largest aquariums in the world. Mermaid show daily at 2pm.
  5. Adventure World — roller coasters and thrill rides for grown-ups.
  6. Typhoon World (water park) — water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river.

The evening fountain show starts at 6:45pm and runs about 15 minutes. Stick around for it — it genuinely impresses, especially after dark.

If you are heading to Phu Quoc, budget at least half a day for VinWonders. With the Safari combo, block out the whole day.

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc — an open-air zoo

Hand-feeding a giraffe — one of the headline moments at Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc

Vinpearl Safari is 380 hectares, more than 4,000 animals, 200+ species — the largest safari park in Vietnam. It sits next to VinWonders Phu Quoc, with a free VinBus shuttling between them.

Two main zones:

Open Zoo — the walking part. Square-lipped rhinos, white lions, lemurs, orangutans, flamingos, pelicans, crocodiles. Separate areas for primates, birds and reptiles. Allow 2–3 hours to walk it. For more animal encounters on the island, see our Phu Quoc Safari guide.

Safari Park — the bus part. You board a bus with panoramic windows and roll past tigers, zebras, giraffes and antelopes roaming right outside the glass. It really does feel like Africa, only in the middle of the tropics.

The thing everyone comes for is the giraffe feeding. You stand on a platform at giraffe-head height and it takes the food straight from your hand. Feed is sold on the spot.

💬 "Feeding the giraffes was one of the best moments of the trip — almost worth the entry fee on its own." — from traveller reviews on Tripadvisor

The animal shows run twice a day: 10:00–10:30 and 14:00–14:30. Come in the morning — the animals are livelier, and by midday the heat drives them into the shade.

VinWonders Nam Hoi An

VinWonders Nam Hoi An is the park hardly anyone knows about. 62.4 hectares, 5 zones and one card the others do not have: an island of Vietnamese folk culture. It sits 17 km from Hoi An and 55 km from Da Nang.

The zones:

  • Harbor Corner — a waterfront of restaurants and shops, a spot for a slower pace
  • Island of Folk Culture — recreated Vietnamese villages, craft workshops, live performances. No other VinWonders has this — here you can actually touch Vietnamese culture
  • River Safari — a boat ride past animals and tropical thickets
  • Adventure Land — roller coasters and rides for speed lovers
  • Water World — a water park

Tickets are 650,000 VND (~$26), the cheapest of any VinWonders. The evening ticket (after 2pm) is cheaper still — 450,000 VND (~$18). If you are already in Da Nang or Hoi An, block out half a day.

Vinpearl Harbour — a free zone on Hòn Tre island

Vinpearl Harbour opened in January 2024 on Hòn Treisland in Nha Trang. Entry is free, but you can only reach it by cable car (212,000 VND / ~$8.50 return) or from the island's hotels.

It has three zones: Monaco (a European waterfront of boutiques), Fonville (a food court and restaurants) and Indochine (Indochina-colonial styling with bars). This is not a ride park but a shopping-and-dining zone: shops, restaurants, street performances. It is not for serious shopping, but souvenirs and gifts are easy. A good add-on to a VinWonders Nha Trang visit — you can fit both in one day.

Every VinWonders and the Vinpearl Safari is easy to reach — by taxi, Grab or the free VinBus.

VinWonders Nha Trang (Hòn Tre island)

Two options:

  1. Cable car — 3,320 m over the sea, 12–20 minutes. Included in the ticket. The station is in the south of Nha Trang, 15–20 minutes by taxi from the centre (~120,000 VND / ~$5).
  2. Speedboat — from the Nha Trang pier every 30 minutes, 15–20 minutes across. Also included in the ticket.

In a storm the cable car stops and guests are ferried by boat instead, so expect delays. Pay taxis in cash (VND) — not every driver takes cards, though Grab handles this in-app.

VinWonders Phu Quoc and the Safari

Both parks are on the northwest of the island, in the Phu Quoc United Center (the Bãi Dài area). From Dương Đông town it is about 30 minutes by taxi or Grab, 150,000–200,000 VND (~$6–8). The free VinBus runs from Grand World.

VinWonders Nam Hoi An

17 km from central Hoi An — about 25 minutes by taxi. 55 km from Da Nang — about an hour by taxi. Grab works in both cities.

Which one you pick — Nha Trang or Phu Quoc — comes down to your group and what you want. Short version: Phu Quoc is bigger and newer, Nha Trang is more compact but has the cable car over the sea and that island feel.

Families with kids— Phu Quoc. Safari + the Fantasy World kids' zone + the aquarium with the mermaid show. Enough to fill two full days.

Couples and photo lovers — Nha Trang. The cable car over the sea, the Ferris wheel at sunset, the Japanese garden and Vinpearl Harbour for dinner.

Budget option — Hoi An. The ticket is 300,000 VND cheaper, the evening one just 450,000 VND. Bonus: the folk-culture island you will not find anywhere else.

Thrill-seekers— Nha Trang. The zipline, the Alpine Coaster (electric sled) and Adventure Land's 8 rides.

Practical tips — how to do a day at Vinpearl

A roller coaster at an amusement park — cars climbing to the peak of the track
Arrive at opening — the first two hours have almost no queues on the coasters

One day at VinWonders is doable, but you will have to choose. You cannot cover every ride, show and the water park in a single visit. Here is what helps.

⚠️
Thrill rides have height (120–140 cm+) and health limits. With kids, check the rules at each coaster entrance. Travel insurance is worth having before you visit.

Arrive at opening. At 8:30am (Nha Trang) or 9am (Phu Quoc) the crowds are thin. The first two hours are the sweet spot: no queues, no midday heat yet. Start with the thrill coasters — by lunch they are packed.

One day or two? If you are on Phu Quoc and take the VinWonders + Safari combo, buy the 2-day version. One day for VinWonders, one for the Safari. Cramming both into a single day turns into a route march. For VinWonders Nha Trang, one full day is enough.

What to bring. Swimwear and a towel (water park), sunscreen, comfy shoes, water. An umbrella or poncho — rain can start any time. Book tickets in advance on Klook to skip the ticket-office queue.

Food inside the park. Food courts and restaurants are everywhere. Expect 150,000–250,000 VND (~$6–10) per person. Adding a buffet to your ticket is 30–50% cheaper. Bringing your own food is formally not allowed, but water and snacks usually get through.

Beating the queues. Weekdays beat weekends. January–February and July–August are peak, with 30–40 minute coaster lines. March–April and September–October are far quieter.

📌
Heading to Phu Quoc? Some hotels near the park bundle their rooms with VinWonders tickets — worth checking when you book.

Pros and cons of the Vinpearl parks

Pros

  • Every ride, show and the water park on one ticket — no paying extra inside
  • Clean, well-kept, everything works — you can see the money going in
  • The Nha Trang cable car — worth the trip on its own, even if theme parks are not your thing
  • Safari Phu Quoc — a genuine 380-hectare zoo, a cut above what you usually get in the region
  • The Sea Shell aquarium (Phu Quoc) — one of the five largest in the world

Cons

  • Not cheap — ~$38 per adult; a family of four runs $120–150
  • Peak-season coaster queues of 30–40 minutes
  • Food inside is 2–3 times pricier than in town
  • VinWonders Nam Hoi An — some rides are periodically closed for maintenance
  • At the Safari, the heat after noon makes the Open Zoo walk a slog

FAQ — common questions about Vinpearl

How much does VinWonders Nha Trang cost in 2026?

An adult ticket (from 140 cm) is 950,000 VND (~$38). A child ticket (100–140 cm) is 710,000 VND (~$28). The evening ticket after 4pm is 660,000 VND (~$26). Kids under 100 cm go free. The price covers every ride, the water park, the shows and the cable car. Cable car alone, without the park, is 212,000 VND (~$8.50).

How do you get to VinWonders from central Nha Trang?

Take a taxi or Grab to the cable-car station — 15–20 minutes, around 120,000 VND (~$5). From there it is the cable car (3,320 m, 12–20 min) or a speedboat every 30 minutes. Both are included in your ticket. The island is private and belongs to Vingroup, so you cannot reach the park on your own without a ticket.

What is included in a Vinpearl ticket?

All the rides inside the park, the water park, the shows, the aquarium, the zoo and the cable car (in Nha Trang). You only pay extra for food, souvenirs and photos with characters. A buffet can be added when you buy the ticket, which is cheaper than paying for food separately.

Vinpearl Nha Trang or Phu Quoc — which is better?

For families with kids, Phu Quoc: more rides (200+), the Safari next door with giraffe feeding, an aquarium with a mermaid show. For couples, Nha Trang: the cable car over the sea, the 120 m Ferris wheel at sunset, Vinpearl Harbour for the evening. Both parks cost the same, 950,000 VND (~$38).

How much time do you need at Vinpearl?

VinWonders Nha Trang is a full day (8–10 hours) to walk every zone and catch the shows. VinWonders Phu Quoc plus the Safari is two days. If you are short on time, 5–6 hours cover the main zones, but you will have to skip the water park.

What are the opening hours?

VinWonders Nha Trang closes at 8pm. VinWonders Phu Quoc at 9pm. Vinpearl Safari at 4pm (last entry 3pm). VinWonders Nam Hoi An at 7:15pm (last entry 6pm). The Nha Trang cable car runs until park close, with the last cabin back 15 minutes before closing.

Can you eat inside the park?

Yes. Every park has food courts, restaurants and cafés. Expect 150,000–250,000 VND (~$6–10) per person. Cheaper option: add the buffet when you buy the ticket. The ticket + buffet combo is 1,100,000 VND (~$44) in Nha Trang and 1,150,000 VND (~$46) on Phu Quoc.

Are there discounts on Vinpearl tickets?

The main savings are evening tickets (30–40% cheaper), combo VinWonders + Safari packages (about 180,000 VND off), and online booking via Klook or Traveloka, sometimes 5–10% below the gate price. Guests staying at a Vinpearl Resort on Hòn Tre island go in free — entry is included in the room.

Prices and schedules current as of early 2026. They can change — confirm on the official VinWonders site.
