Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh Beach Resort opened in 2017, originally as Vinpearl Resort & Spa Long Beach Nha Trang. It later moved under Meliá Hotels International, and in 2023 it won Best Luxury Private Beach Resort in Southeast Asia at the World Luxury Hotel Awards. Bãi Dài beach, where the resort stands, is among the best beaches on the south-central coast. Couples, families and groups of friends all end up here — villas run from one to four bedrooms, so there is room for everyone.

Location and how to get there

Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh sits on the Cam Ranh peninsula in tourist Zone 2, Cam Lâm district, Khánh Hòaprovince. It is quiet and crowd-free — that is the upside. The downside: Nha Trang is 40 km away, so you can't just wander out for a change of scene.

The cheapest way is Grab. Landing late or hauling a pile of suitcases? Book a private transfer online in advance instead — a driver meets you with a name sign and you don't have to hunt for anything. The Grab app works fine in Vietnam and takes card payment, no VPN needed.

Villa categories — which to pick

Each of the 200+ villas has its own pool, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a proper bathroom. The grounds are laid out in a colonial style, with lakes threading between the villas — the whole place reads a little like a "Vietnamese Venice."

Every villa has its own pool — from compact 1BR to spacious 4BR

1 Bedroom Villa — Lake View (93 m²)

30 villas with a lake view. The most compact option — for couples or solo travellers. A bedroom, a living room and a private pool. A great honeymoon pick when you don't want to overpay.

2 Bedroom Villa — Garden View (180 m²)

40 villas set in a tropical garden. A good fit for a family with a child, or a couple that likes space. Two bedrooms, a living room and a private pool.

3 Bedroom Villa — Garden View / Lake View (263 m²)

57 villas with a garden view plus 9 more with a lake view. They suit large families and groups of up to six. The Lake View ones are done in French colonial style — the most photogenic on the whole resort, your Instagram will thank you.

4 Bedroom Villa — Lake View (283 m²)

The 29 largest villas on the grounds. Ideal for a group of friends or two families travelling together. Four bedrooms, a big living room and a private pool — there is room for everyone.

The Level — premium villas

28 Beachfront villas with direct beach access and 7 Ocean View villas. What the program actually gives you is in its own section below.

💡
Tip:two of you, no kids — take the 1 Bedroom Lake View, best value for the money. With children — the 3 Bedroom Garden View (most villas of this type, easiest to book). Want to wake up and step straight onto the beach — only The Level Beachfront does that.

Bãi Dài beach

Meliá Vinpearl sits on Bãi Dài(Long Beach) — one of the finest beaches in all of Cam Ranh. The shoreline runs for 15 km, and the resort has its own private stretch of it.

Aerial view of the resort on Bãi Dài beach: villas and palms along the white sand
Bãi Dàibeach — villas along the shore, white sand and a gentle entry into the water

The sand is fine, white and pleasant underfoot. The entry into the water is gradual — safe for small children. The South China Sea here is usually calm, without big waves. Best of all, it is far cleaner and quieter than the city beaches of Nha Trang: no day-trippers, only guests of the peninsula resorts.

What's on the beach

  • Sun loungers and umbrellas — free for guests
  • Kayaking, SUP, snorkelling — right on the sand
  • A beach bar, so you don't have to walk far
  • Fishing — on request

Meal plans

  • Room Only — room rate only, but breakfast at Merkado is still included
  • Half Board — breakfast + dinner
  • Full Board — breakfast + lunch + dinner
  • All-inclusive — from $210/night, food and drinks included (though some premium dishes and alcohol may be charged separately, keep that in mind)

Half Board and Full Board can be added at check-in — you don't have to lock it in when you book.

⚠️
Important:the resort is out on its own, and there is almost nowhere to eat beyond the gate. If you don't take All-inclusive, budget for the hotel restaurants — there are barely any alternatives nearby.

The Level — Meliá's premium service

The Level is Meliá's signature premium program, available only in the 35 The Level villas: 28 Beachfront + 7 Ocean View. In effect, it is a hotel within the hotel.

Spa, pools and activities

Akoya Spa

A vast 1,800 m² spa — one of the largest in the region. Akoyais a five-star brand that started in Bali. Treatments take place in open pavilions set among the lakes or by the shore — the atmosphere is hard to beat.

The Level guests get 20% off every treatment. Prices range from 500,000 to 3,500,000 VND (~$20–140), depending on what you pick.

Pools

There are two big outdoor pools plus a separate children's pool. And, of course, your own pool in every villa — you could skip the shared ones entirely.

Sport and activities

  • A fitness centre with decent equipment
  • Tennis courts
  • Kayaking and SUP straight from the beach
  • Fishing for anyone keen

There is no nightlife or evening entertainment to speak of. The nearest bars and clubs are in Nha Trang, 40 km away. If you are here to party, this isn't your resort. But for peace and quiet, it is exactly right.

Staying with kids

For families, Meliá Vinpearlis one of the best options in all of Cam Ranh. The gentle beach entry is safe even for toddlers, and the 3–4 bedroom villas fit the whole extended family.

A family with children splashing in a pool by the sea
Everything for a family holiday — a Kids Club, a children's pool and playgrounds for different ages

What's there for children

  • Kids Club — open daily 09:00 to 18:00. Drawing, beadwork, a play zone, balls — you can drop the kids and take a breath
  • Children's pool — separate, shallow, safe
  • Playground right on the grounds
  • Private pool in every villa — kids splash right in front of you, no need to haul anyone anywhere
  • Babysitter — available on request

Guest scores: kids' facilities ~3.7/5, animation ~3.1/5. Honestly, animation is the weak spot. If you are used to Turkish all-inclusive resorts with entertainers on every corner, this will feel low-key. But for a calm family holiday it has everything you need.

Prices and how to save

Prices swing a lot with the villa type and the time of year. Don't be misled by the headline: $49 a night is a rare October low, not what you'll see on Booking in January. Plan on $200+ a night in season. Here are the reference points.

Seasonal prices for a 1BR villa
SeasonPrice (1BR villa)Notes
Low season (October)from $49/nightCheapest rates
Shoulder (May–June, November)$100–150/nightGood balance of price and weather
High season (December–March)$200–550/nightPeak demand
Year-round average~$214/nightReference point

How to save

  1. Book early — two to three months out, rates run 20–30% lower
  2. Go in low season — October is cheapest, but be ready for rain
  3. Watch for Meliá deals — the official site runs flash sales with up to 40% off
  4. Compare Booking, Agoda, Expedia and melia.com — rates often differ, and Agoda in particular tends to be sharp on Southeast Asia
  5. All-inclusive isn't always worth it — work out what you actually spend on food. If you are out on day trips, Half Board comes out cheaper
💰
Booking note: reserving via melia.com is often cheaper than Booking and earns MeliáRewardsloyalty points. Whichever channel you use, you'll need a passport and the card the booking is under at check-in.

Guest reviews

The resort scores consistently well: TripAdvisor — 4.0/5 (over 1,900 reviews). Around three quarters of guests recommend it. Here is what comes up most often.

👍 What guests praise
🏖The beach — white sand, clear water, a gentle entry
🏠Villas with pools — it feels like your own house, not a room
🌴The grounds — lakes, gardens, everything kept to the last detail
😊Staff — they smile, help and remember your name
Cleanliness — villas and grounds both spotless
🍳Breakfast — a wide-choice buffet
👎 What guests complain about
📍Remoteness — Nha Trang is 40 km, nothing to do beyond the gate
🍽Little food off-site — almost no restaurants nearby
🎭Modest animation — quiet in the evening, few activities
💸Prices bite — restaurants, spa and on-site activities run above average

Should you book it?Yes — if you want a private-pool villa on a good beach, calm surroundings and steady chain-hotel service, and being close to Nha Trang doesn't matter. On Bãi Dài it is the strongest pick for villa choice and variety. No — if you want nightlife, a wall of restaurants beyond the gate, or genuine no-asterisks all-inclusive: look at Selectum Noa, or somewhere closer to town.

FAQ

How much does it cost to stay at Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh?

Plan on $200/night for a villa in high season (December–March); the year-round average is about $214/night. The $49/night one-bedroom rate only appears in October and sells out fast. The $550/night figure is the peak ceiling, not a starting price.

How do you get from Cam Ranh airport to the resort?

The airport is just 9–12 km away, a 15–20 minute drive. The cheapest way is a Grab (from 150,000 VND / ~$6). If you want to be met with a name sign, book a private transfer online in advance (from ~$25–30).

Is there all-inclusive at Meliá Vinpearl?

Yes, from $210/night. Food and drinks on site are covered. Keep in mind, though, that some premium dishes and alcohol may be charged separately.

Is the resort good for families?

Yes, very much so. There is a Kids Club (09:00–18:00), a children's pool and a playground. The gentle beach entry is safe for toddlers. The 3–4 bedroom villas fit a large family. The one caveat is that animation isn't the strongest (rated ~3.1/5).

What beach is Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh on?

Its own stretch of Bãi Dài— one of the best beaches in Vietnam. White fine sand, a gentle entry, clean water. Sun loungers and umbrellas are free. You can kayak, SUP or snorkel.

What is The Level at Meliá?

It is Meliá's premium program — essentially a hotel within the hotel. Available in 35 villas (Beachfront and Ocean View). It gives you all-day snacks (08:00–22:30), 20% off spa and dinners, a personal concierge and restaurant priority. And the Beachfront villas open straight onto the beach from the terrace.

Prices current as of July 2026. Rates and conditions change — check the official sites before you travel and confirm your visa requirements for your passport's nationality at evisa.gov.vn.
