Where to stay in Da Nang 2026: areas, hotels and prices

The airport sits 3 km from the centre, My Khe made a Forbes best-beaches list, and 30 km of coast holds 600-plus hotels. Rates run from ~$20 for a 3-star to over $1,000 a night at the InterContinental — here is how to pick the right area and the right price.

Prices are current for 2026. Per Numbeo, the cost of living in Da Nang is lower than at most European beach resorts. Exchange rate: $1 ≈ 25,000 VND. Ratings draw on Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Agoda.

Da Nang neighbourhoods: where to stay

Wooden resort complex with a pool and sun loungers by the Da Nang coast
Da Nang's coast runs 30 km — the area you pick shapes your whole trip

The neighbourhood decides everything. Da Nang stretches 30 km along the coast, and each stretch suits a different kind of traveller.

My Khe (Mỹ Khê Beach) — the tourist heart

Six kilometres of fine sand, a gentle shelf into the water and moderate waves (more in our guide to Da Nang's beaches). Along Võ Nguyên Giápstreet you'll find most of the 4- and 5-star hotels. Cafés, restaurants, massage and shops are all a short walk away.

Best for: travellers on a one- or two-week trip, couples, anyone who wants zero logistics hassle.

To the airport: 5–7 km (10–15 minutes by Grab).

An Thuong (An Thượng) — the nomad corner

A grid of small streets just back from My Khe, packed with Western cafés, craft-beer bars, co-working spots and cheaper 3–4-star hotels. This is where a lot of digital nomads and long-stay expats base themselves — you'll hear as much English as Vietnamese here.

Best for: digital nomads, younger travellers, anyone after café culture and nightlife near the beach.

To the beach: 3–5 minutes on foot.

Ngu Hanh Son (Ngũ Hành Sơn) — quiet, near the Marble Mountains

The southern end of the coast, around Non Nuoc Beach. This is where the biggest resorts sit: Melia Danang, Hyatt Regency, Pullman. Quieter than My Khe, but outside the hotels there isn't much around.

Best for: families with kids, anyone after a calm, resort-style stay.

To the airport: 10–12 km (20–25 minutes).

Son Tra — secluded luxury

The Son Tra peninsula (Monkey Mountain) is a nature reserve with the Linh Ung pagoda and its 67-metre Lady Buddha statue (more in our guide to Da Nang's attractions). Two resorts sit out here: the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and Premier Village Danang Resort.

Best for: honeymoons, a VIP break, anyone chasing seclusion.

To the airport: 15–20 km (25–35 minutes).

The downside: you need transport for the town and any real infrastructure. Without a Grab or the hotel shuttle you're stuck.

City centre (Hải Châu) — on a budget

The area around the Dragon Bridge and the Han River waterfront. Markets (Hàn Market, Cồn Market), nightlife, street food. Two- and three-star hotels and hostels. It's a handy base for day trips out of Da Nang.

Best for: backpackers, budget travellers, night owls.

To the beach: 3–4 km (15 minutes by Grab for 40,000–60,000 VND / ~$1.60–2.40).

  • Rooms: standards, deluxes with garden or sea views
  • Signature: a 415 m private beach, a relaxed feel

Good value for a five-star. Cheaper than the Pullman and Hyatt, though it's a longer hop to any infrastructure.

Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa

A resort set between Da Nang and Hoi An. Fully self-contained — no shops or restaurants around, so everything happens on-site. Superb buffet breakfast, a big pool and design-led rooms.

  • Price: ~$145/night

Furama Resort Danang — the classic

  • Rating: 8.5/10
  • Rooms: standards, deluxes, pool villas
  • Signature: 70 family villas, a "culinary heritage," a colonial feel
  • Area: My Khe / Non Nuoc

November is the best month to book: rates from around $38/night.

Vietnam's only "all-spa-inclusive" resort: the room rate includes two spa treatments per person a day. There are 87 villas, each with its own pool.

  • Price: ~$200–400/night
  • Rating: 9.0/10
  • Rooms: pool villas only
  • Signature: two daily spa treatments included, yoga, tai chi, breakfast anytime

For those coming for spa and wellness. The format is rare — nothing else in Da Nang is quite like it.

The InterContinental on the Son Tra peninsula is on another level. It's expensive (from ~$130/night), but the grounds, the pools and the bay views earn it. The catch: it's far from town, so without a scooter or a Grab you're not going anywhere. Perfect for a switch-off holiday, awkward for exploring the city.

How to save on your stay

  1. Stay two or three streets back from the beach. Sea-view hotels cost three to five times more, and the beach is a five-minute walk anyway.
  2. Travel in the low season (October–December). Discounts up to 50%. The rain usually comes in the evening and at night, so you can still sunbathe by day.
  3. Book direct. The hotel's own site is often cheaper than Booking or Agoda, and you may get perks: a transfer or a room upgrade.
  4. Take a windowless room. Most rooms under $25 have no window or face a wall — but they're clean and near the beach.
  5. Go long-term. For stays of a month or more, a studio apartment drops to $300–500/month.
💰
Save more:booking on the hotel's own site often beats the aggregators by 10–15%, plus a free room upgrade or transfer.
