Da Nang spa guide 2026: the best spas by budget

Below are 13 places with addresses, current prices and a map, plus what the massage types actually are, how much to tip and the traps the Klook listings leave out.

• A one- or two-week trip. Somewhere good for an hour between the beach and dinner.
• Expats and long stays. A regular place that won’t overcharge you.
• Honeymooners. Resort spas with private rooms and couples’ programmes.

How much does a massage cost in Da Nang?

A budget one-hour massage in Da Nang costs 250,000–450,000 VND (~$10–17), a branded mid-range spa 500,000–800,000 VND (~$19–31), and a resort spa from 1,100,000 VND (~$42). The money buys you different therapists, different service and a completely different room.

The chains have gone up over the past year. Herbal Spa now charges 680,000 VND for a 60-minute body massage and Healthy Spa 550,000–600,000 VND. So in 2026 "budget" means small independent salons, not the big names at the top of TripAdvisor.

Price ranges at a glance

What’s not on the menu price

• Tips. 50,000–100,000 VND for 60–120 minutes is normal. Some resort spas already add a "service charge 5–10%", so ask before you pay twice.
• Scrubs and wraps. Even in a "combo" these are often an extra 200,000–400,000 VND. Ask what’s in the package before you lie down.
• Online discounts. Herbal Spa takes 5% off 60-minute sessions and 10% off 90- and 120-minute ones booked on its website. Healthy Spa gives 10% with a promo code. Reception won’t always mention it.

Paying

Chains and resort spas take Visa and Mastercard. Small salons want cash in dong. The ATMs in Da Nang work with foreign cards; the fee appears on screen before you confirm, so check it and walk away if it’s silly. Keep small notes for tips, since therapists rarely have change.

Where to find spas: four areas of Da Nang

Most of Da Nang’s massage salons are packed into one area: the blocks behind My Khe beach around An Thuong and Duong Dinh Nghe street. That’s where tourists stay, where expats live and where every chain opens its branches. The other three areas are for specific plans.

A note on addresses. On 1 July 2025 Vietnam abolished districts (quận), and Quang Nam province was merged into Da Nang, so Hoi An is now part of Da Nang city. Addresses below use the new wards (phường). You’ll still see the old district names on Google Maps and in hotel listings; treat them as neighbourhood names.

An Thuong and My Khe: the main hub

The area runs along the beach at My Khe and inland along An Thuong, Phan Ton and Phan Liem streets (Ngu Hanh Son ward), and Duong Dinh Nghe and Pham Cu Luong (An Hai ward). Several Herbal Spa branches, Queen Spa, Healthy Spa, Bee Honey, Oani and Charm Spa are all here. The beach is 200 metres to a kilometre away, and the An Thuong bar street is a short walk.

Getting around: any salon is five minutes by scooter, or 30,000–50,000 VND by Grab. If you’re renting in An Thuong or near My Khe, you can walk.

Hai Chau: the city centre

The old centre on the west bank of the Han River, now Hai Chau ward. Golden Lotus Oriental on Tran Phu and the spas in city hotels are here. Less street noise, and you’re close to Han Market and the riverside. Good if you’re staying in the centre or pairing a massage with shopping.

The southern coast: Vo Nguyen Giap and Truong Sa

The resort strip from Furama south, past the Marble Mountains to the edge of Hoi An. Almost all of it is now Ngu Hanh Son ward. This is where you’ll find Furama (with V-Senses), TIA Wellness Resort, Premier Village, Danang Marriott Resort & Spa and Naman Retreat. All of them are gated resorts with private beaches. Easy if you’re staying there; from the centre it’s 15–30 minutes by taxi.

Son Tra peninsula: the north

Monkeys, the Linh Ung pagoda and a lot of forest, now Son Tra ward. The main spa up here is HARNN Heritage Spa at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula. Quiet and beautiful, but about 25 minutes by taxi from the centre. People come here to check in for two or three nights and not leave.

Budget spas: massage from 250,000 VND (~$10)

Budget in Da Nang means small independent salons rated 4.5 or higher on Google Maps: plain rooms, trained therapists, clean towels. Nearly all of them sit in the lanes around An Thuong and behind My Khe beach. For 250,000–450,000 VND you get an hour of massage, tea before and after, and a shower. No sauna, and no hard sell on "special rituals".

Oani Spa: a small courtyard-style salon

Address: 46 Phan Liem, Ngu Hanh Son ward. Hours: 09:00–23:00.

A small place done up like a traditional Chinese courtyard, with wooden screens and paper lanterns. A 60-minute body massage is 250,000 VND (~$10), a 60-minute foot massage 200,000 VND (~$8). If the budget is tight but you still want a nice room, Oani is the cheapest way to get one.

Sammy Spa: for a quick foot massage

Address: 02 An Thuong 4, Ngu Hanh Son ward. Hours: 10:00–23:00.

A simple salon deep in the An Thuong lanes. An hour of massage from 200,000 VND (~$8). Not the place for your first Vietnamese massage. For a fast foot rub after a long day when you live around the corner, it does the job.

How to pick your own budget salon

Small salons change names faster than guidebooks update. It’s easier to choose one yourself:

1. Open Google Maps around An Thuong and look for salons rated 4.5+ with at least 300 reviews
2. Check the photos in the reviews for a printed price list. Honest salons post prices at the door
3. Walk in and ask the price for a 60-minute body massage at reception. If it’s over 450,000 VND, you’re in mid-range territory, and a branded spa is the better deal

When budget makes sense

• It’s your first time in Vietnam and you want to find out whether you even like the local style
• You’re here for months and go two or three times a week
• You’re with kids or teenagers; there’s no point taking them to a resort spa
• It’s late. Resort spas close around 22:00, while the An Thuong salons stay open until 23:00

Mid-range: Da Nang’s flagship spas (500,000–900,000 VND)

Mid-range is why people plan a massage in Da Nang rather than just stumble into one. This is where the signature treatments start, service gets polished and the rooms make you want to stay an extra hour. A 60-minute body massage costs 500,000–800,000 VND (~$19–31), 90 minutes up to 1,000,000 VND (~$38).

Herbal Spa: the best-known chain in town

Address: 201 Duong Dinh Nghe, An Hai ward (flagship). Hours: 09:00–22:00. Website: herbalspa.vn.

Four branches in Da Nang: two on Duong Dinh Nghe (numbers 201 and 90), one on Ta My Duat and one on Phan Tu near An Thuong. My Khe beach is a 10–15 minute walk from the flagship. The chain holds a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award.

What to book: the Herbal Signature, which combines oil, hot stones and warm herbal compresses. 60 minutes is 630,000 VND (~$24), 90 minutes 860,000 VND (~$33), 120 minutes 1,150,000 VND (~$44). A standard 60-minute body massage is 680,000 VND (~$26), and a 60-minute foot massage 630,000 VND.

Booking: 5–10% off on the website. In high season (December to March) walk-ins may find nobody free.

Queen Spa: 16 years in business, known for bamboo

Address: 144 Pham Cu Luong, An Hai ward. Hours: 10:00–21:30. Website: queenspadanang.vn.

Queen Spa has been open for more than 16 years and sells bamboo and candle massage as its signatures. In 2025 it won Best Spa Experience in Vietnam. One of those cases where an old brand means practised hands rather than tired décor.

What to book:

• Bamboo massage, 90 minutes for 800,000 VND (~$31) or 120 minutes for 1,050,000 VND (~$40). The therapist rolls warm bamboo sticks over your muscles like a rolling pin. Good for a stiff back.
• Candle massage, 60 minutes for 550,000 VND (~$21) or 90 minutes for 800,000 VND. Warm oil from a scented candle is poured onto the skin and worked in. Nice if your skin is dry from sun and sea.
• Vietnamese herbal massage, 70 minutes for 590,000 VND (~$23) or 90 minutes for 750,000 VND (~$29).

Book ahead. Queen closes at 21:30, earlier than most of its neighbours.

Healthy Spa: three branches, one open until 4am

Address: 14–16 Phan Ton, Ngu Hanh Son ward (09:00–23:30). Other branches: 04 Duong Dinh Nghe (09:00–23:30) and 224 Tran Bach Dang (09:00–04:00). Website: healthyspadanang.com.

Healthy Spa used to be the budget pick, but in 2026 an hour of body massage is 550,000–600,000 VND (~$21–23), or 495,000–540,000 VND with the 10% online code. The menu includes a Red Dao herbal bath and a head spa. Two things the neighbours don’t offer: the Tran Bach Dang branch stays open until 4am, and groups of two or more get a free pick-up and drop-off within 5 km.

The downsides: plain rooms and uneven therapists. If you get a choice, ask for someone with three or more years of experience.

Bee Honey Spa: Thai massage off An Thuong

Address: 19 An Thuong 26, Ngu Hanh Son ward. Website: beehoneyspa.com.

A small salon in the An Thuong lanes, a few minutes from My Khe beach. The website lists Thai massage at $24 (about 620,000 VND) after a discount and a foot massage at about $14 (~370,000 VND). Prices online are in dollars; in the salon you pay in dong at the day’s rate. Check opening hours on Google Maps or ask on WhatsApp.

Charm Spa Grand: quiet rooms and attentive staff

Address: 31 Nguyen Van Thoai, An Hai ward. Hours: 10:00–22:30.

A calm salon with attentive service. An hour of body massage is about 500,000 VND (~$19); 90 minutes with hot stones about 850,000 VND (~$33). Afterwards you get yogurt, fruit and tea. Soundproofing and low light are the small things that separate mid-range from budget.

Golden Lotus Oriental Organic Spa: foot massage in the centre

Address: 209 Tran Phu, Hai Chau ward. Hours: 09:00–22:00.

One of the few notable spas in central Da Nang, on the Hai Chau side of the river. Its strength is foot reflexology with proper pressure-point work: 60 minutes for about 450,000 VND (~$17). A good way to end a day walking around the Dragon Bridge and Han Market.

A 60-minute body massage costs about 600,000 VND (~$23); 90 minutes with aromatherapy about 850,000 VND (~$33).

Our pick: where to go first

Luxury and resort spas: from 1,100,000 VND

Da Nang’s luxury spas sit inside five-star resorts with their own beaches and villas. An hour of massage starts at 1,100,000 VND (~$42), and signature rituals of 90 to 180 minutes run 2,000,000–5,000,000 VND (~$77–192). You’re paying for privacy, silence and resort-level service as much as for the massage.

V-Senses Wellness & Spa at Furama Resort

Address: Furama Resort Da Nang, 103–105 Vo Nguyen Giap, Ngu Hanh Son ward. Hours: 09:00–22:00.

The spa is run by wellness master Giri Raj Timshina. Beyond massage there’s reiki and several multi-hour programmes.

V-Senses takes non-resident guests, but only with a booking.

TIA Wellness Centre: the "Wellness Inclusive" resort

Address: TIA Wellness Resort, 109 Vo Nguyen Giap, Ngu Hanh Son ward. Website: tiawellnessresort.com.

TIA’s idea is "Wellness Inclusive": every night of your stay includes two treatments totalling 80 minutes per person. The Retreat Inclusive rate adds a 60-minute therapy per day on top. The menu covers massages, facials, wraps and reflexology.

TIA doesn’t list a public day pass on its website. If you want a treatment without staying, email reservation@tiawellnessresort.com or call +84 236 3967 999 and ask what’s possible and at what price.

Pure Spa at Naman Retreat

Address: Naman Retreat, Truong Sa street, Ngu Hanh Son ward, south of the Marble Mountains.

A spa set among the resort’s bamboo architecture, with yoga, meditation and multi-day detox programmes alongside. Aggregator listings from summer 2026 put a 60-minute massage at 1,500,000 VND (~$58) and the 120-minute signature ritual from 3,200,000 VND (~$123). The à la carte menu is sent on request.

It’s about 25 minutes from central Da Nang and about 20 from Hoi An’s old town. If you’re visiting the Marble Mountains, stop here afterwards.

The spa at Danang Marriott Resort & Spa

Address: 7 Truong Sa, Non Nuoc beach, Ngu Hanh Son ward.

The resort is on Non Nuoc beach by the Marble Mountains, not on Son Tra peninsula as some round-ups claim. The spa is part of the resort and mainly serves hotel guests. Check the current menu and whether outside guests can book on the Marriott website or at reception.

An Spa at Premier Village Danang Resort

Address: Premier Village Danang Resort, 99 Vo Nguyen Giap, Ngu Hanh Son ward.

Massage types to try in Da Nang

You’ll find nine main types of massage in Da Nang, from classic Vietnamese to the Red Dao herbal bath. Each does something different: unknotting muscles, recovering after sport, sorting out sun-dried skin. The table shows what each is good for and the typical mid-range price.

What to try first

First time? Start with a Vietnamese traditional or Thai massage at any mid-range spa. These are the basic techniques, and they tell you quickly whether the local style suits you. If you’ve done that before, book bamboo at Queen Spa or the Herbal Signature with herbal compresses at Herbal Spa.

The Red Dao herbal bath is its own thing. It comes from the Dao Đỏ (Red Dao) people of northern Vietnam: half an hour in a wooden tub of hot herbal infusion. Your skin comes out soft, your muscles loose, and a massage afterwards goes deeper. It costs less than a massage and stays with you just as long.

What to skip

• "Special massage" in tiny back-lane shops. Often a euphemism for sexual services. Red lighting and no price list at the door: keep walking.
• "Four-hand massage" for 300,000 VND. Two therapists can’t work for that. Either the time gets cut or you get a light stroke instead of a massage.
• Hot stone at the cheapest salon. It takes training; done badly, it burns. Book hot stone at mid-range or above.

Hot springs near Da Nang: a wellness day out

Within 25–30 km of central Da Nang there are three places with warm water, and they work differently. Núi Thần Tài sits on a real geothermal spring: the water comes out at up to 80 °C and is cooled to 35–40 °C for the pools. Mikazuki is a Japanese-style onsen using minerals imported from Japan. Phước Nhơn is natural springs with almost no facilities. Plan a full day: 35–50 minutes each way, then pools, massage, food and a water park.

The three compared

Núi Thần Tài is the best known. It’s a 60-hectare forest park with pools at different temperatures, mud baths and a food court, open 08:30–17:30. The catch: weekends are loud, and Vietnamese families arrive around 10–11am.

Mikazuki Spa & Hotel Resort is a Japanese resort on the bay in Hai Van ward. The onsen is on the 22nd floor with a view over the water, and the water park is downstairs. Smaller and calmer than Núi Thần Tài.

Phước Nhơn is a set of natural springs in a village where locals soak in the morning. Changing rooms are basic; bring your own food. For people who want the real thing, not a theme park.

How to choose a spa in Da Nang: five scenarios

The right spa depends on how much time you have and how much you want to spend. Here are five common situations and where to go.

1. "I have an hour"

You’ve got an hour between the beach and dinner. Go to Oani or any highly rated salon in An Thuong: 60 minutes of foot or Vietnamese massage for 250,000–400,000 VND (~$10–15). Usually no booking needed. Dinner on An Thuong afterwards.

2. "Half a day to unwind"

Book the Herbal Signature, 90 minutes plus a 60-minute foot massage at Herbal Spa online. Two and a half hours for 1,490,000 VND (~$57) before the discount. Then lunch at a beach café on My Khe and a nap on a sunbed.

3. "Honeymoon or anniversary"

Money isn’t the point. Go to V-Senses at Furama or HARNN Heritage Spa at the InterContinental on Son Tra peninsula. At V-Senses the couples’ journey is 3,200,000 VND (~$123) and the three-hour Soul Herbal Journey 5,000,000 VND (~$192) per person. Book a few days ahead.

4. "We have kids"

With kids aged 8+, go to Núi Thần Tài or Mikazuki for a day of thermal pools plus a water park. At Núi Thần Tài children 1–1.4 m tall pay half and under 1 m go free. A family of four spends roughly 2,000,000–2,500,000 VND (~$77–96) including taxis and lunch.

5. "I live by the beach"

You rent near An Thuong or My Khe and get a massage two or three times a week. Find a budget salon with a clear price list as your regular, and treat yourself to Healthy Spa with the promo code once a week. 250,000–500,000 VND an hour is a pace you can keep up.

Checklist: how to avoid a bad massage

1. Check the Google Maps rating. Under 4.3, move on
2. Read the five most recent reviews. Fresh complaints are a red flag
3. Confirm the price inside. At reception, not with a tout on the street
4. Ask about tips. "As you like" means 50,000–100,000 VND is fine. "200,000 is compulsory" means find another salon
5. Say no to upsells mid-session. Lying there covered in oil while someone offers a "special treatment for 500,000"? A firm no
6. Don’t prepay a ten-session package. Small salons close, and the money goes with them

Mistakes travellers make

A cheap massage can end up costing more than a resort spa if you walk into the wrong place. These four come up again and again in TripAdvisor reviews and travel forums about Da Nang.

Beach massage

On My Khe and Non Nuoc someone may offer you "massage 100,000 VND". Don’t. The mat is dirty, the masseuse is untrained, and at the end the price is two or three times higher: "that was foot, you wanted body, pay more". Cheap oil can also trigger a rash.

"Men’s massage" in small shops

Some back lanes have places signed "Special Massage" or "Health Massage 24/7", often with red lighting. They aren’t spas. Tourists are walked in as if it were a normal salon, then offered "extras" halfway through. If you end up in one, get up and leave. You owe nothing.

Discount vouchers from street touts

Along Bach Dang riverside you may be offered "massage coupons, 50% off". The walk-in price is often the same or lower, and part of your money goes to the tout. Some vouchers are outright fakes with a well-known chain’s logo. Book on the spa’s own website or on Klook.

Walking into a resort spa in high season

December to March and July are high season. At V-Senses, TIA and Naman there may be no free slots without a booking, and outside guests are taken by appointment only. Book two to five days ahead online or by email.

The short version

First time in Da Nang and only room for one spa? Go to Herbal Spa on Duong Dinh Nghe and book the 90-minute Signature: 860,000 VND (~$33), a public price list and a discount for booking online. On a tight budget, Oani or another well-rated salon around An Thuong gives you a good hour for 250,000–400,000 VND.

For a proper wellness day, go to V-Senses at Furama or the hot springs at Núi Thần Tài and Mikazuki. For a honeymoon, book the couples’ journey at V-Senses or a few nights at TIA Wellness with treatments included.

Skip the beach massage, the "special massage" shops in the back lanes and the discount vouchers from touts. Beyond that, Da Nang’s spa scene is competitive, and a well-rated salon with a posted price list rarely disappoints.
