Yang Bay Waterfall and Eco Park near Nha Trang: what's inside and what it costs
Yang Bay Eco Park sits in the hills 40 km west of Nha Trang. An adult ticket is 200,000 VND (~$7.70) at the gate, or 170,000 VND (~$6.50) if you book on the park's own website. The ticket covers swimming at the Yang Bay waterfall, the Ho Cho hot springs, a Raglai music show and the electric carts that run between zones.
The waterfall and the warm pools are the reason to go. The rest feels like a family theme park, with a crocodile farm, pig races and life-size dinosaur models. Some of it is in the ticket and some costs extra, you can get there on your own or with a tour, and in the rainy months the mountains are best left alone.

Where Yang Bay is and how long it takes
The park fills a valley at the foot of the mountains, roughly 40 km west of Nha Trang. OSM routing (OSRM) gives 38–40 km from the city centre to the gate and about 45 minutes with clear roads. The park's own site says 40.7 km and 56 minutes. Plan on an hour.
The address changed with Vietnam's 2025 administrative reform. The park used to sit in Khánh Phú commune of the former Khánh Vĩnh district. Resolution Nghị quyết 1667/NQ-UBTVQH15 of 16 June 2025 merged Khánh Vĩnh town and the Sông Cầu and Khánh Phú communes into a new Khánh Vĩnh commune, and districts were abolished from 1 July 2025. Older guides, and one of the park's own posts, still say "xã Khánh Phú". Search "Yang Bay" in your map app and it'll find the park either way.
The park's suggested route runs along Võ Nguyên Giáp, then Cao Bá Quát, then local road HL62. The last stretch climbs through the hills; it's paved all the way.

What's inside: waterfalls, hot springs, Raglai culture

Inside are three waterfalls, natural hot springs, a hot mineral pool, a Raglai stage, a petting zoo and a crocodile farm. Electric carts and a road train move you between zones, and the ride is in the ticket. We only list what the park itself names.
Three waterfalls: Yang Bay, Yang Khang and Ho Cho
There are three falls: Yang Bay, Yang Khang and Ho Cho. Yang Bay is the main one; the name means "heavenly waterfall" in the Raglai language. There's a wide pool at its base, and swimming there is part of the ticket. A trail follows the stream up to the top of the falls, with a view over the valley.
The park itself describes Yang Bay as a "gentle" waterfall, without the menacing look of a mountain cliff. You come for a cool swim in the forest, not for a dramatic drop.
Ho Cho hot springs and the mineral pool
Hot water seeps from cracks in the rock at the foot of the Ho Cho waterfall and mixes with the cold stream. So the stone pools come out at different temperatures, and you sit in whichever suits you. There's a suspension bridge, the Ho Cho bridge, by the springs.
Besides the natural pools, the ticket covers a hot mineral swimming pool. There's also a foam pool; the park's summer 2026 notice put it at 14:00.
Mud and herbal soaks cost extra
The park sells a mineral mud wrap and herbal body and foot soaks separately, with no prices online. The park currently calls the mud a "cosmetic mud plaster" and offers it by the Ho Cho springs; check the format on site. If mud is the main point, compare the town complexes such as Thap Ba and I-Resort in the Nha Trang mud baths guide.
The Raglai and the Moc Than tree
The Raglai are a people of the Khánh Hòa highlands. Their musicians play on the stage by the waterfall at 10:45: a stone lithophone, gongs and flutes. A Raglai stilt house stands nearby.
The first stop on the park's tour is Moc Than, the "sacred tree": three trees grown together, two "da" and one "sanh", both kinds of fig. According to the park it's over 25 m tall with a canopy of more than 200 m². People throw wish ribbons into the branches, and the park's tour includes one ribbon.
Animals and shows: worth knowing before you go

The crocodile farm holds over 300 crocodiles, according to the park. Your ticket includes one bait for crocodile "fishing"; a photo with a live crocodile is extra. The petting zoo has deer, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, ostriches and peacocks. Ostrich rides cost extra. There's also bottle-feeding for koi carp.
Pig races run twice a day (10:00 and 14:00), and so do cockfights (10:10 and 14:10). For some visitors that's a reason not to go. Both are easy to skip: use the time for the waterfall or the springs.
You'll also find life-size dinosaur models, an 8,500 m² flower hill called Đồi Hoa Tiên, and kayak hire.
Yang Bay entrance fee and opening hours
The park is open 07:30–17:00. An adult ticket is 200,000 VND at the gate and 170,000 VND when booked on yangbay.vn. Children from 1 to 1.4 m need a child ticket; under 1 m is free.

Getting there on your own
You can ride a scooter or take a car: a taxi, Grab, or a car hired from the park itself. The park's FAQ lists exactly these options plus tours, with no mention of a public bus.
By scooter. About 40 km each way, with a hilly final stretch. You need a licence valid in Vietnam: an International Driving Permit only counts if your country signed the right convention, and you carry it with your home licence. Details in renting a motorbike in Vietnam; fines are in Vietnam traffic rules. The park itself tells visitors to pack a raincoat, since afternoon rain is common in the hills.
By taxi or Grab. The app will show you a fare for the ride out. We couldn't find a verified 2026 fare for this 40 km run, so we're not quoting one. The real risk is the ride back: getting a car at a gate in the hills may not work. Ask the driver to wait, or book a return trip. More on apps and meters in Grab and taxis in Vietnam.
A car from the park. The park's FAQ says it hires out cars for the trip; call 0813 446 222. Its own price list gives a benchmark: the Daily Tour with transport costs 120,000 VND (~$4.60) more per adult than the version without.
If you don't ride and don't want to sort out the return, a tour is simpler.
Yang Bay tour from Nha Trang: what's included and prices
A Yang Bay tour from Nha Trang costs from 495,000 VND (~$19) with the park itself to $70 per person with booking platforms. A private trip costs $150 per car with Sputnik8 or from $180 per group with DV Tours. The difference is mostly guide language, group size and lunch.
| Operator | Format | Price | Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| The park, Daily Tour | group, 07:45–16:00 | 495,000 VND online, 550,000 list price | car, guide, lunch, ticket, springs, show, insurance |

The park's Daily Tour has an English version of its itinerary. Pickup in central Nha Trang is at 07:45–08:15, with arrival at 9:15. Then the Moc Than tree, the crocodile farm, the waterfall and the 10:45 show, lunch at 11:45, the zoo and races, and the Ho Cho springs from 13:30. The ride back to Nha Trang is at 15:00–16:00. The tour page doesn't say what language the guide speaks, so ask the hotline before you book. Book at least 10 hours ahead.
With other operators, check lunch first. DV Tours doesn't include it; dishes from the park menu run about $3–7, by the operator's estimate. Then check transfers: Tisland charges extra for northern Nha Trang and Cam Ranh, DV Tours for Cam Ranh and a few resorts outside town. More day trips in the Nha Trang tours guide.

Best time to visit, rain and the 2025 flood
March to September is the best window, according to the park. Nha Trang's dry season runs from February to August, and September is already a transition month. October to December is the rainy season, peaking in October and November; November alone gets around 330 mm. Month by month in Nha Trang weather.
In the rains the waterfall runs fuller, and the stream-side pools feel less safe. If it poured all night, call the park in the morning and ask whether the swimming areas are open.
In late November and early December 2025 a major flood hit Khánh Hòa and reached Nha Trang. In December VietNam News reported that eco-tourism sites and hot-spring resorts had reopened after the clean-up. A park post from 30 January 2026 says it had dealt with "the aftermath of the historic flood" and quickly got back to normal operations. The park hasn't said what was damaged or whether any areas were closed. As of October 2026 the park is open: its homepage, with hours and prices, was updated on 1 October.
Staying overnight in the park
You can spend the night: bungalows, glamping on an island in the lake, tents, wooden huts and dorm rooms. The pricier options include the entrance ticket.
| Option | Units | Price | Ticket included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bungalow for up to 4 | 6 | 2,400,000 VND (~$92) | yes |
| Glamping for 2 | 9 | 1,200,000 VND (~$46) | yes |
| Camping or wooden hut for 2 | 5 and 6 | 700,000 VND (~$27) | yes |
| Guesthouse room for 2 | 9 rooms | 500,000 VND (~$19) | no |
| Dorm bed | rooms of 12, 20 and 8 beds | 120,000–180,000 VND (~$4.60–6.90) | no |
The "Đảo Ngọc" glamping sits on a 300 m² islet in the middle of the lake, with campfires and music in the evening. An overnight stay fixes the main problem of a day trip: you can reach the waterfall before 9:15, when the Daily Tour group arrives.
Prices from the park's homepage as of 23 October 2026.
Don't mix it up: Ba Ho and Suoi Tien
Two other waterfall spots near Nha Trang often get confused with Yang Bay in reviews. They're different trips.
Ba Ho (Suối Ba Hồ) is north of the city, about 25 km out. Three cascades with pools up a stream; to reach the top one you scramble over slippery boulders. No hot springs and no shows: it's an active hike. Details in the Ba Ho waterfalls section.
Suoi Tien (Suối Tiên) is about 20 km south of Nha Trang, in Suối Hiệp commune (former Diên Khánh district). According to the provincial tourism portal, it's a stream running off the Hòn Bà mountains, with rock formations, waterfalls, caves and Tien Lake, formed where fallen rocks dammed the stream. It's on the province's inventory of heritage sites, and a dossier has been prepared to rank it as a provincial-level scenic landscape. It has nothing to do with the Suối Tiên theme park in Ho Chi Minh City apart from the name.
Want warm pools and an easy day with kids? Go to Yang Bay. Want to climb over rocks? Ba Ho.
Pros and cons
It comes down to what you expect: wild nature or an organised day with attractions.
For a day out of town with small children, it's one of the easiest options. More ideas in Nha Trang with kids.
FAQ
Yes. The park's FAQ allows ready-made food and drinks. Gas stoves, charcoal and anything that could start a fire are banned. For a picnic by the Yang Bay waterfall you can rent a grill with charcoal for 100,000 VND (~$3.80), used under staff supervision. If you're on the Daily Tour, lunch is already included, so you won't need your own food
A full day: around 7–8 hours including the drive. The park's tour runs 07:45–16:00 and covers the main sights. If you go on your own, plan around the schedule
- Pig races10:00
- Raglai show by the waterfall10:45
- Races again and the foam pool14:00foam pool per the summer notice
- The park closes17:00
Yes, it's one of the easiest day trips with kids near Nha Trang. Under 1 m is free; 1 to 1.4 m pays 140,000 VND, or 119,000 online. Electric carts run between zones, so there's no climbing over rocks. The hot pools by the stream are natural: pick one that isn't too hot and keep your child close
Bring swimwear, a towel and shoes you can walk in on wet rocks. A cap comes with the Daily Tour but not with a regular ticket, so pack your own. Bring a raincoat too: the park itself warns that afternoon rain is common in the hills. And carry cash dong for the extras
- a photo with a crocodile
- an ostrich ride
- the mud wrap and herbal soaks
- grill rental
Not if you cancel yourself. Under the terms on yangbay.vn, a confirmed payment isn't refunded. The park says it will help move the date within the month or transfer the ticket to someone else if you tell it in advance. A full refund comes only if the park cancels the visit because of a natural disaster. The ticket is single-use and valid until 16:00 on the chosen day. Booking online saves 30,000 VND (~$1.15) per adult, but if the weather looks doubtful, buying at the gate on the day is the safer bet
You can go, but keep a spare day. November is Nha Trang's wettest month, with around 330 mm of rain. After a downpour the streams rise. In November 2025 the park was hit by the flood and had to recover. In the rainy season, call the hotline on 0813 446 222 on the morning of your trip
